iToragTanker,
You stated: "The whole reason you made this thread is to keep high levels away, and you admitted that they could still stay." I don't really understand what you are saying here. Keep high levels away from what? The base? No, I don't necessarily want to keep them away from the base as much as make it more of a challenge for them to stand at the enemy base and kill all who come and go. Attacking, running down, and killing low level players requires about as much skill as killing cows. The whole reason I made this thread is to attempt to balance the game more between combat and skills. As it is right now a high combat, low skill player completely dominates a low combat, high skill player. Please read through the thread.
A far as your claim this isn't a skill based game, Go to your "quick chat" screen, click on "group events" go to "skill-based activities" and what do you see on the bottom? "Stealing Creation". Jagex seems to list it as a "skill-based activity". Please show me where Jagex doesn't consider it a skill based minigame as you state.
I couldn't agree with you more that it is popular because you can fight and fight all levels without any risk. I have never suggested that that be changed. And I do have 99 mage and enough defense to kill any level player with some good tactics. That's a great part of the game. But what happens way to often in these games is the highest level combat players armed only with a dagger go to each others base and trap the lower level players there. These lower level players have almost no possibility of escaping the base and just have to wait out the game there or quit.

Is trapping these folks in their base really that much fun for you?

And lastly you state to just get higher combat skills. Actually that's very easy. Last I checked there were over 85,000 folks with level 99 Attack and over 120,000 folks with level 99 Strength while there were less than 6,000 folks with 99 Mining, 4,000 folks with 99 Runecrafting, less than 7,000 with 99 Smithing and less than 10,000 with 99 Crafting.
Getting a high combat level is about the easiest thing you can do in this game.

I think this is a great idea.
When Stealing Creation first came out, I was quickly good at it and began advising skillers to sit in the base for the last 4 minutes of the game, so the pkers can't kill you.
However, as time goes on, I find myself changing my advice to less-than-professional players. Saying 5 minutes, than 6, then 7. In some games, i'm encouraging players to begin sitting in the base at almost 10 minutes!!! Not because the clay is gone, but because being out there is feeding the pkers more points by the second.
Also, this is most definately not a combat oriented activity. While it is a fun bonus, it's by far a skill based game. Think about it, in the end of every game, your team has what 20K point? That's because the fighters with no skill levels take all the combat stuff that skillers made (withdrawing costs more than depositing gains) and sapping points.
My al time, most disappointing SC score.
Team: 5K
Me: 70K
My team kept withdrawing the class 5 arrows, runes and weapons that skillers had been making. And top it off, they were dying! Losing more points than they were making by far, not to mention feeding the other team.
Anyway, enough ranting. This is a great idea. Tunneling out will stump the pkers long enough to continue gathering clay as the game comes to a close. Especially 1-Itemers. Skillers could use an edge over them....

Thanks Doctor,
I was really trying to come up with a way to make the game better for skillers while taking nothing from the combat. I think this would work well and make the game a little more interesting. I wish Jagex would give it a try.
Thanks again for the support.

no the game should not catter to people who like certain skills more then others and especialy not make summoning worthless because your summoning level is 4 scavlord the tunnel would make the abillity for storing stuff or sending it to the base with your familiar would be pointless then if you could just go through the tunnel instead also you have protection its called barriers
