I am Surprised. I have not seen the abusive Mod "goddess lyz" post on the forums to support her clan that abuses low rank players in stealing creation that try to enjoy the game and earn skills. At least give me the courtesy of acknowleging the post "goddess Lyz" You disappoint me.

Hello Artley,
I didn't want the tunnels leading to a barrier resource because that wouldn't fully address the trapping problem. There is a small delay whenever you pass through a doorway in the game making it difficult to get a jump on a waiting and watching attacker. This delay is negated when leaving a fog as the enemy can't see that you are about to leave the fog.
I really don't think the tunnels should allow you safe passage back to your base. Restocking the base should be a challenge and Stealing your enemies resources while attempting to stock the base is the name of the game.
Just my opinion :)

Scavlord all you said can be basically translated thus:
I am a low level and can't fight well enough to compete!Poor me, WAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
The obvious answer is noncombat sc. They have worlds and clans out there for just that. Find one. If you are not bright enough to find one or are too lazy to find one, then don't come here and try to change the game just because you are not good enough to compete. They are not going to handicap high level players so that low level players are their equals. Get over that right now. If they did that, then what would be the point of leveling up? What you suggest is like welfare for the poor (read too lazy to work for a living here) to make them the same as the rich (read people who DO work for a living here) and that is simply unacceptable.
Train and skill up, then you will find that all of your objections/difficulties disappear.

Oh another point. You said that the people sitting around bases are high combat players with no other skills who will get "greatly rewarded}" even though combat is all they contribute to the game. Well let me tell you now that if you do combat the whole game you will get a very low score unless you pk a load of arrows or runes that you can turn in. The big points in the game go to people that turn in clay, so just standing there killing people who have nothing is not profitable. Most kills rarely gets high score, if ever. There goes your theory, sorry.

Magi Douglas,
I'm endlessly surprised by folks like you that come to a thread and comment without the capability to either read the thread or comprehend it.
Your statements make little sense in regard to the thread. Such comments as suggesting a non-combat game prove that point.
"Most kills rarely gets high score, if ever. There goes your theory, sorry."
I'll start at the only statement that deserves a direct reply. I'll have to assume you read at least part of the thread and although you obviously didn't understand it, the comment does suggest you may have played the game a couple times.
It only takes about half a typical game to harvest and process enough resources to break 20 reward points per game regardless of whether you team wins or not. And from that point hanging out at the enemy base trapping folks is what loads of folks, probably like yourself, enjoy most about the game. It's likely the easy kill. Can't fight folks at your own level, just go to Stealing Creation and kill noobs.
Having your name listed next to "most kills" is the greatest reward and goal of many who play this game, and don't try to tell me it isn't.
I find many greater challenges to the game than just seeing which team can trap the other team in their base. And the suggestions I have made don't limit combat in any way whatsoever.
I understand that is hard to grasp for some folks.
So if you do understand this thread please explain to me your statement:
"They are not going to handicap high level players so that low level players are their equals."
How are my suggestions handicapping high level players?
By attempting to force them to fight their equals?
By having them encounter a greater battle at the enemy base?
By making it a greater challenge to trap folks?
By forcing them to locate the exit fog if they want to run down skilling players?
I suppose you're just upset with the idea of suggesting taking away your easy kill game.
I'm looking forward to your reply.

Since you have already shown that you didn't comprehend the ideas presented in this thread I'll simplify them for you.
First: Create tunnels leading FROM the base to a fixed fog located in a random spot somewhere in the middle of the playing field.
This tunnel is just an exit and not an entrance to the base as getting resources to the base should always be a challenge.
Folks can still trap their opponents in the fog but they will be in closer proximity to their enemy attempting to do the same.
Second: Have the Mystic in each base help defend the base by casting high level range and mage attacks to those enemy players standing within a few squares of the base.
So, yet again, this only INCREASES the combat in the game, makes it MORE of a challenge to stand at the enemy base WITHOUT limiting that ability in any way, and puts higher combat players in closer proximity to one another.
It changes the focus of the game from trapping and killing unarmed players at their base to killing them in the field of play.
So please explain to me how you get from this
"The obvious answer is noncombat sc"
I have no interest in running down unarmed low level players that are attempting to escape from their own base.
It's no challenge. Unfortunately it's obvious this is somehow rewarding for you.
