Magi Douglas,
I'm endlessly surprised by folks like you that come to a thread and comment without the capability to either read the thread or comprehend it.
Your statements make little sense in regard to the thread. Such comments as suggesting a non-combat game prove that point.
"Most kills rarely gets high score, if ever. There goes your theory, sorry."
I'll start at the only statement that deserves a direct reply. I'll have to assume you read at least part of the thread and although you obviously didn't understand it, the comment does suggest you may have played the game a couple times.
It only takes about half a typical game to harvest and process enough resources to break 20 reward points per game regardless of whether you team wins or not. And from that point hanging out at the enemy base trapping folks is what loads of folks, probably like yourself, enjoy most about the game. It's likely the easy kill. Can't fight folks at your own level, just go to Stealing Creation and kill noobs.
Having your name listed next to "most kills" is the greatest reward and goal of many who play this game, and don't try to tell me it isn't.
I find many greater challenges to the game than just seeing which team can trap the other team in their base. And the suggestions I have made don't limit combat in any way whatsoever.
I understand that is hard to grasp for some folks.
So if you do understand this thread please explain to me your statement:
"They are not going to handicap high level players so that low level players are their equals."
How are my suggestions handicapping high level players?
By attempting to force them to fight their equals?
By having them encounter a greater battle at the enemy base?
By making it a greater challenge to trap folks?
By forcing them to locate the exit fog if they want to run down skilling players?
I suppose you're just upset with the idea of suggesting taking away your easy kill game.
I'm looking forward to your reply.
