I don't think pickpocketing should be changed at all. Sometimes it is the only defense we have against high level mages. My problem, as stated earlier, getting trapped in base with no exit except through the high level players standing just outside.

First: Tunnels: I think that in each base there should be a tunnel that a player can exit and enter the base from that leads to a fog somewhere in the center area of the playing field. This fog tunnel entrance should be visible to that team but not to the enemy. Folks can then leave the base to a safe place in the playing field and wait until the "coast is clear". This would be an additional way to restock the base from the field without having to deal with the "most kill" players. Once the team figures out which fog the enemy tunnel leads they still can't see if anyone is there so waiting there may not be very rewarding.

support! exellent idea! i get annoyed at this happening too. this should only be a 1 way tunnel tho of course, since we dont want people getting items back to base easyly without a good summon lv (cause that would undermine the need for familiours if there are tunnels everywhere leading to your bace)

Second: Base Damage: I'm not sure what to call it but there could be a small area or radius around each base where as the enemy approaches they receive damage from the enemy base. The closer you get the greater or more frequent the damage. These high combat players could still come right to the enemy base but a lower lever player could actually fight them there as their base would be helping with the fight.

no support, since as you go to colect resorces from around your enimys bace, you get hit so much that you have to run away and spend all that clay into food... no win situation

Well, yet another Saturday evening with one stealing creation game after another plagued by a couple high level players keeping anyone from getting into or leaving the base.
Two players standing outside with seven plus players inside calling each other names.
Its a shame.

I like your idea. It is indeed weird that you would need to gather a clan of likeminded players to be able to play a game of Stealing Creation, instead of just going there and play.
I've experienced this sometimes as well, but often I just stay away from my own base as well, using familiars.
Something else that might work instead or in addition to the base damage would be to increase the no-combat zone to just outside the actual barrier. I haven't completely thought it true, so I'm not sure of the negative effects of it, but it would als solve the problem in the following situation.
You are being chased by a high combat level player, trying to salvage what you have by running to your base. Panicing as you are you frantically click the base's portal. When you finally arrive barely alive you sigh with relief, but hey, what happens now. Your frantic clicking on the portal made you enter the base and exit again. Before you realise it the enemy player has caught up and kills you.
Tunnel idea is nice as well. Although I too aggree it should be exit only.

Very great idea to get rid of all those annoying little pests that sit there and kill noobs. But the 3 or 4 square radius of base damage may need some changin. Because some mage or ranger could attack from a far distance. I think that the base should also defend its team: if someone attacks a team memeber near their base, the base will attack them until they go out of range or die.

mcpaddyhack, thanks for your reply. In my other thread "Awesome Stealing Creation" I describe what I think would be a great change to the game where the "mystic" that is in each base (the being that tells you the quantities of the different clays) also defends the base by hitting with high level mage or range attacks from within the base. So if the enemy comes to close to the base he/she gets attacked, and hard. Strong players could still come right up to their enemy's base but it would be a much greater challenge to stay there.
