Agreed.. I read all the way until page 6, and I really believe that people need to be able to get out of their bases.
A suggestion of mine is a zone near your base where you get auto-healed, or are invincible....
This would certainly rout people from trapping you in your base.
Maybe npc turrets that would kill people near your base?

I really don't want to take away anything from the player that has taken the time to get a high combat level. Making an area where a player is autohealed or invincible wouldn't be fair, in my opinion.
What I would like to see is the "mystic" in the base defending their base with high level mage and range attacks. This would make it harder for any player to remain right at the enemy base while not penalizing them for doing so.

Half-Agree. I'm usually on the team the keeps them in their base. And its really fun healing the noob your attacking so that it takes a while for them to die. Fun stuff.
But I guess its not all that fun being pked as you run out, but I don't really mind that, as long as I have a c4 dagger and protection prayer on. =D

I have had a lot more experience playing the game since my last post (obviously because it has been a few months).
Instead of going to the higher level team, I go usually to the lower leveled team. You can be proactive about this problem and don't die in the first place. You don't have to run back to your base when being attacked, you can run into hiding or make barriers. I am still sort of biased because alot of the time i am the only one on the team that can make stackables and collect c5 quickly, so I am guarded by friends that I make in the waiting room with barriers and such so that I can get up our team score.
Other times, I am not so lucky, I have to skill in the shadows and use familiar scrolls after every inventory. But, once I am finally killed, it becomes a round of: who can kill the most noob farcasting mages? That is also very fun, or even just: who can survive the longest?
Instead of sitting in the bank and whinning, you could make the most of the situation and try to have some fun.
If you haven't noticed, most of the people posting on here are noobs or noobs who think they are high combat (level 105-110). The high level players who are content with the state of stealing creation won't be enraged enough to post. Jagex is smart enough to realize this and will never hook you up with this update. Don't like having to be so negative but I'm really bored right now so...sorry.
Your source for being proven wrong since 2004,

fearsomebaby, As I usually do I will reply on a line by line basis.
"You can be proactive about this problem and don't die in the first place."
We all die in SC, if you don't you are missing a great part of the game.
"You don't have to run back to your base when being attacked, you can run into hiding or make barriers."
As the thread progressed we came to an agreement that the tunnels should be just an exit from the base, not a way to get to the base. Supplying your base is a key part of the game and getting there should be a challenge. Running there "when being attacked" hasn't been discussed here as far as I know.
"alot of the time i am the only one on the team that can make stackables and collect c5 quickly"
Most of the players here that have made detailed and constructive comments are players very high level players capable of making most if not all c5 items, including myself.
"Instead of sitting in the bank and whinning, you could make the most of the situation and try to have some fun."
I believe the players that sit in their base "whinning" are those that came to the game in hopes of playing a "skill based minigame" only to find it is more of a combat based minigame. They find absolutely no fun in being trapped in their base by high combat, one item players going for one thing; "most kills".
Having earned well over 12k SC points I obviously have a great time playing.
My suggestions are to balance the game.
"If you haven't noticed, most of the people posting on here are noobs or noobs who think they are high combat (level 105-110). The high level players who are content with the state of stealing creation won't be enraged enough to post."
This is simply incorrect.
"Jagex is smart enough to realize this and will never hook you up with this update."
It is really easy (and safe) to make a statement that Jagex will never do something as the vast majority of suggestions are never brought to the game.

You failed to state how the suggestions I have made will have a negative effect on the game. Are you worried you won't be able to kill as many "noobs"?
And can you please define a "noob"?
Is it anyone with a low combat level?
That's funny when we can see that all combat skills (attack, strength, defense, and constitution) each have greater than 70k folks with level 99, while hunting, mining, crafting, smithing, fishing, and runecrafting all have less than 30k folks with level 99's (most of these less than 20k).
