your not wrong there rassy, besides im comparing past situations with this one, maybe they take a totally different approach so i think waiting out the weather is the best option here. i hope that whatever they will do is in favor of the game and the player base. trusting certain pc lists or prices of items or websites that dont belong to jagex will get you into trouble notice: external websites and trades are your responsibility, dont get fooled!.

Talks about removing the arena, and treasure hunter getting a remake at the same time doesn't seem like coincidence. I am not familiar with UK policy but could it have something to do with their gambling laws?

all i know is that for games under 18 years the gambling law is really simple, a no go if your not 18+. but this is for EU law so im not sure if the UK is going to strive for the same ideas or not. i can imagine th and the arena are the definition of a gambling addiction so removing them will help alot of addicted stakers and key buyers. so overall it should help people who have gambling addictions so they pay their rent for their house instead of paying their 5b debt in game. trusting certain pc lists or prices of items or websites that dont belong to jagex will get you into trouble notice: external websites and trades are your responsibility, dont get fooled!.

Couldn't they relocate the game to some Pacific island with different laws? I cannot for the life of me manage to catch Covid. Perhaps it's because I didn't get vaxxed? The travails of those lacking immunity. :(

"The report, carried out by researchers at the universities of Plymouth and Wolverhampton, found that loot boxes "are structurally and psychologically akin to gambling".

It also found that large numbers of children are opening loot boxes.

The UK government is already considering whether gambling laws should cover such loot boxes.

The upcoming Gambling Act review is set to look at the question, with the UK's House of Lords already having weighed in to say that loot boxes should be firmly regulated as "games of chance".

Loot boxes are a video game feature involving a sealed mystery "box" - sometimes earned through playing the game and sometimes paid for with real money - which can be opened for a random collection of in-game items such as weapons or cosmetic costumes."

"The UK government is currently reviewing the Gambling Act 2005, with plans to publish its proposals in a white paper by the end of 2021 or early 2022."
