just buy them all they are cheap :P

I mean like the most expensive tokens are zombie walk, and gem sack however those tokens are only 10-15b. comparing this to party hat and other rare items they are a fraction of the cost. you also have to realize that there is was a recent massive inflation in the runescape economy recently and the 100m is now the 1b so technical speaking the token aren't that expensive when you are actually looking at the amount of gp in the game.

Jagex also stated that they never expected the tokens to reach such a high value, and it would be detrimental to the players that bought that token at 10b or 14b so I don't expect them to release any token any time soon

Jagex would have done well to release info on Earharts. If players knew they would return repeatedly, there wouldn't have been such demand during the first promotion.

Earhart should have remained as a purple gem token, as originally designed. After repeated releases, many more would have gotten them. And many would have been encouraged to buy just a few more spins after receiving 5 or 7 ice cubes, which was the original intent.

My theory on why tokens are kept fuzzy is their supply tends to be so low. Jagex doesn't seem to like hoarders; so, if a token is hoarded by just a few people, it might expect rerelease.

However, I think it would be neat to have some limited guarantee on at least some tokens. Also, hoarding might not be as destructive as currently seen. Players might come to value th promotions, and holiday events, more if expecting every new token to be bought out. Life has a way of balancing.

The ideal focus should, of course, be on what makes this game most fun, and on what creates value for Jagex the company. I believe that at least a bit more transparency would improve the game for all. I cannot for the life of me manage to catch Covid. Perhaps it's because I didn't get vaxxed? The travails of those lacking immunity. :(

Jagex might say that it doesn't want, say, summer prize tokens to cost so much. I did pay a lot to unlock Winston. But I also realise that whoever sold it to me likely forewent investing in rares in order to hold that token. Rares are up. Rares are up a great deal. And I missed the original beach event by many years.

If you're merching, it's fun to gamble. Anyone can buy and hold santas, or party hats. They rise quickly over time. But it's also fun to risk on token merching.

I don't know what's best for the game. Those are just some of my experiences. I sold my phats to buy mostly beach tokens, albeit not summer prize. I don't know if I made the correct move. For me, it's a bit boring to own such expensive items. It's more fun to trade and to dream of price increases.

If tokens are released repeatedly though, it might just be neat to have new rares released. People like having rare, exclusive items in some form or other. Not everyone can afford a santa now, let alone a phat. I cannot for the life of me manage to catch Covid. Perhaps it's because I didn't get vaxxed? The travails of those lacking immunity. :(

What are you trying to say? I am not sure I follow.

It's pointless for players to ask for clarity from the Game developers? Why would they not talk about it if a lot of people are saying they demand an answer.

Hey! I am not concerned with prices much to be honest. I paid a lot for Assassin and Zombie, myself to use, and I never "merch" or "flip" them.

Like I said my concern is with how dodgy and murky the whole scene is, and it should be more transparent. I have faith in Jagex.

Thanks. I posted in the suggestion forum that Jagex should consider new rares, maybe a pink santa hat. If released multiple times, and then guaranteed discon, it might work well, might hinder hoarders.

I've had a blast playing with tokens. However, some hoarders of course use 100s of alts to buy out cheap tokens, which doesn't seem fair.

Whatever Jagex does is fine by me. It's a fun game. Whether I keep playing, or play as often, depends more on what happens outside the game. There's no other game I'd play. Jagex should re-release the events periodically as promotions where you can earn the unique token items by grinding it out and make the tokens again a rare reward from TH. That way Jagex makes money, players can get the unique walks etc... and hoarders can still manipulate all they want, but at least this way it is clear these items are no longer "discontinued." Jagex released the fish masks as discontinued to sell spins and honestly it was a mistake. There should never be another discontinued item since partyhats/masks/etc... Mass contributor to deaths coffers.

trip i envy the way you play your cards if you get what i mean.

i can only focus on items that have a good trend or that are looking nice or are actively going up.

Instead you just enjoy buying the things you like and wait for the time to get out. ofcourse i didnt buy items i dont like, but you just do you without minding everything around it.

i respect that alot. trusting certain pc lists or prices of items or websites that dont belong to jagex will get you into trouble notice: external websites and trades are your responsibility, dont get fooled!.
