tbh i think this is something only jatex can verify or help out with,

My own opinion is that having some other kind of rares besides the discontinued items would be fun but not if those prices skyrocket without any legitimate reason.

I agree, I know the game has bigger issues to tackle, and bugs to fix, but I am surprised , this question hasn't been pressed upon for so long.

There's a reason why Jagex makes recolours of these rare tokens (gems>shadow gems). They don't want to re-release them because they feel like they might upset some players, so they are just making re-colors.

The token market is indeed weird, and we have so many of them now, and some are even considered worthless.

The thing is, communication is important, and everyone should agree.. We need to know if this is their thinking about not re-releasing specific events/token... because then at least we don't have to speculate.

scalping in real life is frowned upon

for example ps5

but this games weird caus you cant get stuff just playing the game.
you have to seemingly steak, lure, manip, hoard, etc to get a phat, buy bonds

all the weird human behavours are rewarded more than legit players, and most are rule breaks

all you can do atm, is unlock as theyre released, and not after, when merchers and hoarders get their hands on them

I completely understand where you are coming from, but also know many people that have bought partyhats etc, from just high end bossing, but we can't expect everyone to be streaking 4k enrage telos either.

Coming back to the point you raise, I think that is just the nature of games, it brings out the truest nature of people, amplified manyfolds because you have a sense of anonymity and desensitization to other people mixed with a somewhat lack of consequences.

This lack of consequences has allowed a lot of the lesser tasteful people to impact the experience for a lot of the majority.

Lol!

Seems like this is more of a request to Jagex rather than a discssion and I doubt Jagex would ever address it, so I don't really understand the need for this thread. But ehm, just because I don't understand it doesn't mean it shouldn't be there it's just simply an opinion.

About the tokens: To be honest I think when they started it was just some kind of short-sighted adventure to have more people participate in a promo or buy more keys but by time it just got out of hand and the next promo has to be at least equal to the last or perhaps better. Maybe one day it'll all crash down in a moment but I highly doubt they are gonna re-release at least the expensive ones.
Rank #56 Overall. 8000/1****? Hard caskets stacked. 7000/8****? Elite caskets stacked.
31/37 boss logs completed - Ultimate Slayer achieved
Would you trust a Price-checking service that has bots running in W2 advertising themselves constantly? I wouldn't!

To be more transparent moving forward from they should make some sort of pool of possible treasure hunter promos and whenever they need to sell a bunch of keys, pick from that pool of promos. When a special promo is first ran, its percentage chance to be rolled gets put in at a probability of 50% compared to all other promos into the pool. Every time it a promo is ran after that, the odds of seeing that promo again get cut in half. When the pool of promos drops below a total of 50% a new promo is created and ran next time. This way players know exactly what the odds of a certain promo being rolled are, and the promos get more rare every time they run.
An issue would come up with renewing a promo like rainbows end which they seem to love to do(players love this promo as well). Which I think at this point, it should be heading towards being discontinued(maybe 5% to get a few more in). If they wanted to make more rainbow items, they could always just make a rainbows end v2 with new things.

This is the only way I think they could be fully transparent without causing price shocks to the market. Promos cant run indefinitely because they won't sell any spins and they cant just say "promo is discontinued."

This "promo pool" would only be for a week they decide to run a token promo. Otherwise it could still be anything else like crystal capsules, regular TH, special lamp promo, portables, etc. Seasonal promos could be rain, but they should tell players when it would be discontinued by.

I think this is an amazing idea.
