If they did this then why would even new players buy rares if they knew Jagex would nerf them in the future. Defeats the point of working for them.

the creators of this game, are really not going to wake up and beining into panic , if you or other hoarders will leave.
Jagex knows what they are doing, they are only going to get stronger.

I have read every post of you, and any detail.

You complain and whine about nothing else (my crowns their price breaks down).

Give other new people something for once please.

Max cash removal is perfect!

Partyhat rerelease can come easily I guess.

The people with many partyhats & players that have 5.6b exp with also many rares are not profitable for jagex.

They do not buy Bonds or Keys lol? so what's the problem to rerelease rares? Cmon.

The best part of it is that as soon as partyhats become tradeable on the GE, certainty of current market setting ( where a handful of major holders can freely agree on pricing and that way manipulate the market ) will just slowly but surely fade away.

Common players will no longer have to rely on fake guides about artificially set prices.

A bit of uncertainty makes market healthier.

JAGEX just want people able to afford things like rares through play (a lot of play). This doesn't mean they want to make it easy or lower prices, they just want it to be possible . Artificial inflation / manipulation has made phats unattainable / an unrealistic goal. It still will be an unrealistic goal, for many, but hopefully these changes bring about some balance for those that strive to obtain one. I don't think they will release them, that'd be silly.

This max-cash lift will fix a lot of things ^ related. People ripping each-other off 100m at a time, imaginary prices and scammers targeting players who don't know the prices of things (listed on some third-party website or discord, lol).

I just don't understand what people are panic selling for. We'll be able to buy/sell super expensive items on the G/E, so what? as if you can't just hop to W2 and get what you want there with shards? The same people will be buying, the same people will be selling, it'll just be done in a more transparent way. What changes, really? Supply? Access to supply?
- There may be more supply, but the majority of it will be set above mid. Nobody is going to be rushing to the G/E to sell their rares mid or below for no reason. Come on guys...

Sure, it might be harder to turn a profit, like what G/E manipulators are doing right now: encouraging panic selling so that they can buy back items later for cheaper. If they didn't think they would eventually go back up they wouldn't be doing it.

If JAGEX want to make rare ownership a reality for 'newer' players, reduced death costs and giving players a fair shake for their items (by lifting max cash) is how they'll do it. I don't think we need to read more into it. They say party hats need looking at separately but I doubt that means manually adjusting prices. They just don't want manipulation to go any further, that's all. At least that's how I interpret it... Bob says:

Do some of you think Phats are gonna drop below 20b or something?
An item can still hold its value on the GE, we have seen this with edibles, high end Pvm gear etc…
If someone is dumb enough to sell their Phat for cheap on the GE in the future then gz to the person who gets it. I’m sure there will be buy and sell walls. Plus not everyone has enough money to shift these walls if they try to. To avoid the 1% tax, player are just going to add the 1% onto of their sale price on the GE. Selling an item without adding on that 1% tax figure will be the new “undercut”.
No one actually knows what the effect this is going to have on Phats etc, just like someone else mentioned earlier that people said removal of the Sand casino was gonna cause crash, well it done the opposite…
Everyone selling their Phats in a panic when really what is happening is the Phat dealers are buying them at panic price and selling them at a premium and making out as if they’re stabilising, i witnessed it last night when buying this Yellow. What the Phat dealers are doing is rinse and repeating this method until they’re low enough to buy a good quantity, these are the players who will be somewhat controlling the market through the GE with their buy walls. Everyone is scared that Phat will become so cheap and worthless, well I highly doubt that.
Sure selling now on caution of crashing more is fine, but make sure you don’t make the buy back too late. We all know how unpredictable the market is with ANYTHING.

On a serious note players being too wealthy is a concern for all games, things out of reach another
Trades in ge will increase phats being traded as people will think they can attempt to flip their phats same with anything over max cash
Huge shift in prices, they've burnt some players spare gp with gold phats too
