It has clearly crossed their minds already with the whole bank bidders idea lol.

Because it has been discussed for decades. Jagex has stated that they do not have any plans on re-releasing any discontinued items, also, if they wanted to do it, they would have done it by now with MTX. Also, they would not have released a golden partyhat as a discontinued item. If they hated the idea of "discontinued" items, they would not have kept releasing rare items.

Jagex knows how much rares mean to RS3 players, and I don't think they would want to take that road and upset their most loyal and legacy players.

You guys can dream and attempt to manipulate & create panic as much as you want, but we have all seen this happen multiple times before. A re-release of classic discontinued items is not happening.

Period .

We have seen lots of stupid ideas, and this is definitely one of them. Players can dream, it happens.

If something like that did happen, I would simply quit RS3 because I think that would be the last straw for me. I would not want to play a game which isn't loyal & does not respect their players.

And I'm 100% sure that I would not be the only one. It's that simple

You’re only here to troll people people because of market scare due to “no factual” hint of a re-release from Jagex. Phats dropped a bit because of max ge trade limit increase panic, no one knows what the true result of this will even be yet. To me it just means rares are on discount, and you still can’t even obtain one.
You’re trying to act like a hero throwing big words at extremely wealthy players who have earned their wealth over the years. It only makes sense for players like you to come here and talk smack during this time, but at the end of the day no one actually cares what you have to say.

^ he has a point though.. there is much more to this game than a few pixilated items.

That said, quitting over something like this ridiculous. If you really want to bash people for not being able to afford them, then it's a good thing people like that do quit tbh.

Just my 2cents, since that's clearly all i can afford.. ;)
