Just wanted to comment on the recent posts removed from v64, SoulSplits called out ranges he thought was way off the actual prices.
As an outsider that rarely buy/sell rares this decision seems to favour manipulators and does nothing good for the item discussion forums. By removing posts that question prices you effectively help the bad actors, at this point I believe it would be better if the mods didn't touch the discussion threads and just let everyone do their own research.
I totally agree on what you said because i feel the same way, but the forums are jatex their responsibility so unfortunate they cant just let things flow their own way because in the end they will be responsible for any trouble emerging from that. maybe the code of conduct/ forum rules need a refresh. change some rules/add rules. pull out some rules that are conflicting.maybe that can help?.
trusting certain pc lists or prices of items or websites that dont belong to jagex will get you into trouble notice: external websites and trades are your responsibility, dont get fooled!.

I completely agree, I think allowing ranges is a slippery slope which is why I mentioned in the OP that range posts should not be allowed at all.
The person Soul questioned is a known artist and manipulator, and most people within community are aware of it.

Only question I have would be around enforcement
Much easier to enforce with bots/algorithms if certain criteria aren't met for example whereas you'd probably need a few more dedicated resources for Forums, which already isn't as popular as like Discord or Reddit.

There are plenty active forum mods, the thing is they are already doing this moderation and it works great, but the rules of those moderation need tweaking, hence my suggestions.
The thread also should be posted by a forum/jmod ideally so that people take the reporting seriously, and that does not mean that jmod or fmod is any more responsible for moderation it than they already are...

In the meantime, the good guys will continue to get shunned and silenced with threats of 'further action' for merely bringing the issues to light. Like, hello? Please wake up and see what's going on, lol.
@Mate discussing the issues on that thread were disruptive hence the hidden posts.
Saying that this thread here is for everyone to get together and hopefully find a way to make the thread outstanding and make it so everyone will like it and be happy.
Nothing at all stopping you or others chatting about it here. As long as it's within the guidelines meaning no naming and shaming etc.
It is being addressed by Jagex and the F-Mod team. Just see how it goes.
If you have any workable ideas to help the thread then by all means post them so we get more ideas for Jagex to digest.

And the outrageous appraisals wasn't equally as disruptive either? Too many times this happens. The bad guys are left untouched, the good guys are punished.
