I don't support GE on the principle that it kills community aspect of trading that old runescape had but that does seem to be what most people want as a permanent fix and I can understand why.

It won't really help inflation in any way though, it would only make it easier to hoard rares.

Thats my exact fear too. on the ge ppl can just put offers in way higher to farm all those rares and then what?. but on the other side i kinda agree that putting them on the ge would make alot of things easier. for example shard/gp scammers are out of business because everyone would use the ge. so i think its important to note all the positive and negative impacts and then decide what course to set trusting certain pc lists or prices of items or websites that dont belong to jagex will get you into trouble notice: external websites and trades are your responsibility, dont get fooled!.

Yeah, plat tokens, or hats in GE won't fix bigger issues like inflation

I agree with you Surprised but I think we should separate those two things.
Yes, it won't fix bigger issue like inflation but we need other ideas for that, diamond tokens would be strictly to store your gold somewhere else.
When it comes to the rares, I believe they should be purchasable on GE.
Yes, you can hoard rares easier that way but if you really wanted and if you could buy 30 partyhats you would buy them already from people either way.
This will make healthy and fair competition too.
You would be able to get Partyhat or anything else in matter of seconds.
The action or process of causing so much damage to something that it no longer exists or cannot be repaired.

It was a great way to address issues within these forums and it has in a way addressed them. You may not have seen anything posted but trust me things did happen. Thats why this section got so much better it was because of this thread and the Community wishes.

Sad to see this thread go. If the OP wants it back we will be happy to reopen it at his request. :D

So my last comments are to Surprised. Thank you for making this thread in the first place. It worked well and the whole Community came together to address issues within this section. It's worked out great and hopefully the Community can still carry on posting within the rules and guidelines as they have been doing. ;) Comprehensive Account Security
