Sure, its far from perfect but I don't see how shifting those 'perks' to another individual would be a guaranteed positive. FC's and the like exist, but its not as if the thread belongs to them specifically.

No one ever said anything about a guaranteed positive. But the chance of it being a positive change is there - also if it's someone with backing from a vast majority of the community and/or F-mod/J-mod it would more than likely go in a positive way. That is just one of the things we must do, but since you seem to have issue with this particular point the most.

Here is how it would help -

1) There would be no advertisements or peddling FC's on threads that are allowed to use words such as 'official' in the title.

2) The OP would be someone who had moderation abilities and therefore can promote a civil discussion based on the actual purpose of the thread, rather than anything, which includes removing off topic posts, reported trades that don't adhere to rules suggested in this thread, or "price ranges"

3) The OP would be someone who doesn't see having that thread as a 'perk' in first place.

4) Permanently take care of any quarrels within the community about which FC peddler should get to run this thread and which shouldn't, which also breeds resentment and toxicity between these FC's and their personal agendas.

5) All of those above mentioned points lead to a more trust in the thread and it's reports, which benefits the community and hurts monopolisation of price checking.

I am here referring to OP as hypothetical poster that I suggest, which has no affiliations and has moderation capabilities. Not the present posters of these threads.

Once again, I have to ask you to stop spamming, if you have anything against me personally, your opinions or even flame, take it to private chat, and I'll gladly hear you rant about me, if that eases your suffering.

How about if a pcer constantly posts price checks a Jmod would confirm all of their active alts within the last 1-2 months. This should inform people if a price checker happens to post a fake trade to one of those accounts a player can check that Jmod list to confirm. I need my blue charms back.
