Controversial idea here:

How about if a pcer constantly posts price checks a Jmod would confirm all of their active alts within the last 1-2 months. This should inform people if a price checker happens to post a fake trade to one of those accounts a player can check that Jmod list to confirm.

We don't want Jmods to intervene in a free economy( To the extent that they are verifying prices, they should instead focus on macro issues like inflation and rampant bots farming alchables - or banning fake trade posters etc), instead we want to take away any individual's influence on the prices.
Your idea helps if Jmods had too much time and wanted to spoon feed the prices to us, which is not what we want.

Ban lists all together. Nobody should be "pcer". Give this power back to the common sense and base intellect of the player, when he/she sees what prices the items are being traded at, and how good the quality of those reported trades and the person involved in the trade is, the player can make up their own mind about what the range is.

You don't need a human/designated Pc'er. Look at the way PCT's Suitybot works on discord. It's just a list of trades that meet the guidelines of submissions and therefore is currently the most transparent way of Pcing, despite it's issues.

I know if there are no ranges it hurts Fc manip and afk merchers/pyramid scheme runners, but who cares? that's what we want - because all of those things are harmful for the community.

Why don't the same 6 of you who currently bandy the same rares about your alt's for inflated prices just jump on a Zoom call and figure this out - wouldn't take too long.

Merchers don't control the market at all brother. The stakers dictate the prices.

Then again, this thread is not the best avenue to rant about prices. I am with you on the fact that economy is really messed up right now.

Honestly, 90weaps did a real good job imo of lists way back when it was a relevant fc. This was achieved for 2 reasons I feel:
1) It was a super active fc with pcers from the community pcing many hours of each day and conflicts were taken into account and ranks would often solve any issues with conflicts by inb'ing an item just to get an accurate pc (I know I did this many times)
2) The list size wasn't overbearing, which is what we see with the SOF/TH thread alongside the TT thread.

I think lists can have a place, within reason, but would require an active community again and an active fc or something with the reintroduction of a KOS list for known manips/people that are continuously conflicted and a place where these items can be updated regularly and their prices can be tracked.

Without the community banding together to have this place exist and without a reduced size in lists (looking at SOF for example), then yes, lists should be banned.

All of this said, Money has continued to keep high level wep status alive and continuously inb's items to update prices where they need updating and we all trust his prices as he's known and is deemed trustworthy by all* (I 100% vouch and back mr moneyhold).

Banning lists entirely would be damaging in this example where a select few still make the effort to give accurate pc's.

I am only asking for lists to be banned on forums, aind in price check threads because any troll can start posting lists.. I don't mind what people do in legitimate Fcs in their personal space

That makes sense. ^
Perhaps a way to combat this is try to revitalise fc's or something similar then op can 'verify' specific accs that can post lists (i.e. your pcers who have proven themselves but if they begin to manip and get caught out for it, op can have them removed from the verified list of accounts that can post. Any non-verified accounts posting lists would receive a temporary forum ban and have their post removed.

This would also stop alts posting as there would actually be a punishment and people would be held accountable for their manip and if they want to login to 30 diff accounts (we all know the type of person that does this), then let them waste their time and have those accounts be banned.

But I agree completely. Currently, majority of threads that have lists posted are a joke and are fake. A certain someone got butthurt so said they weren't going to post lists anymore after sulking over their attempt to create a new thread to pc items that were already pc'd elsewhere. This same person then returned to posting this list in the original thread within a week because they need to fuel their agenda somehow. Now we're just playing a waiting game with Jagex :/

I like your idea. Jagex also needs to do something about tokens. They should not be allowed to be manipped and treated as rare or discontinued.
