Fix Price check threads.

This type of thread would require the thread holder to be an active participant, posting the trades to the first page every few days.
My proposal is to do the thread as follows
- People post trades in the format explained below
- Every 3 days, thread holder will update the first page with trades that have taken place
- Once the first page fills, a new thread starts
The format in which people must post trades is as follows
(dd/mm) (00:00) (Buyers username) bought (item name) from (sellers username/GE) for (amount)

- The screenshot must have the trade window and in-game clock
- Both traders names must be visible, 1 in trade window 1 in chat box (not for GE posts)

Rules
- The poster must be either the buyer or the seller (do not post other people’s trades)
- Screen shot must include usernames
- Post must be made within 1 day of trade completion
- The post must follow the format above so the current thread administrator has very little
work to do every 2-3 days when they update the main page (they can simply copy and
paste the posts)
Trades that do not follow all the rules above will not be posted to the first page
The idea of this would be to
- Create an easy to view list of trades
- Remove the “fluff” from the thread, such as arguments and price ranges
- Reduce moderation burden on the forum mods
There are no other rules, because posted trades are the only thing permitted.
People can read the list of trades on the first page and decide for themselves who is or isnt posting fake trades.

Look at the current state of v64 thread people.. What a shame.
It's sad to see that a few people are spoling it for everyone else.
All I can suggest is if you feel it's a fake trade or troll then try to ignore them. They want you to post back so they can trash the thread. So don't give them what they want. I know it's hard not to post back trust me I know.
Lets not let a few people spoil it for everyone else.

I believe the vast majority of people that post on that thread do it because they have some kind of agenda. I don't see why else merchants would unveil their buy or sell ranges to other merchants.
It is also very possible that certain people or groups of people are regularly posting fake trades, but, due to the un-organised nature of the thread it is very difficult for someone to make any connection between certain traders and prices.
Also, due to the un-organised nature of the thread, it is very difficult for a buyer with little experience to navigate it and come to a conclusion on what they want to pay.
The "you should do your own research" line that everyone loves to throw about is not really helpful to a new buyer. It feels more like a disclaimer, what it really sounds like, is, "if you get the price wrong, it's your own lazy fault". Because not many people are actually doing anything to make it easier for people.
I realise you have a job to do as a mod, and my thread, although not identical in method, was identical in purpose to the other thread, so you had to lock it.
But I also feel the monopoly that the original thread has, is no longer healthy for the rare trading community.

It's a tricky issue to deal with but more ideas and suggestions posted the better a more newer thread with better guidelines can be put to Jagex for review and consideration.
Right now what we have isn't working as it should because of a few people. So ideas to combat that and how the thread progresses going forward are all very much welcome. Comprehensive Account Security

The current pricing list is so off that we need to just do away with lists.
People should post prices, and they might be real or fake, but the listing system no longer works, at least for discontinued items. It has never been this bad before. R Quark worked, for whatever reason. The current system doesn't work.
It shouldn't be a big deal, but listing just no longer works.
A problem with having no central authority is items can be posted as having any price. So, a person could then post 100b santa buy and a 3b cracker sale. Maybe the result is pricing is no longer possible for items out the ge. But the current system is broken.
I don't think Surprised's reforms work. For one reason, only one person can accept the 2nd screen for a screenie. We might just no longer have a community able to price at all.
To a degree, what's needed is people with a sense of ethics. If you don't have that, no rules are going to be workable. I cannot for the life of me manage to catch Covid. Perhaps it's because I didn't get vaxxed? The travails of those lacking immunity.
