im really sure golden partyhats might be the new currency for getting other rares. unintentional but convenient at the same time, but for now people can still buy out the remaining market of the older rares till this comes in play. trusting certain pc lists or prices of items or websites that dont belong to jagex will get you into trouble notice: external websites and trades are your responsibility, dont get fooled!.

Agree GPH should be stable around 250-350m for years to come acting like a gp place holder.

I asked a bunch of merchants, and, well, one said he'd only accept gph if its price were stable for a long time. Anyway, I believe at least it'll be profitable to trade between gph and phats at times, assuming anyone accepts the gphs.

What's wanted ideally is a stable ratio. So, if blue phat goes up 10b, gph rises roughly the same %. That way, blue phat continues to be valued at a similar number of gph.

Anyway, fun to talk about.

It'd be interesting if they tried releasing an item that was dropped seldom enough that there were only 20-40 at time of discontinuation. Basically forcing it to compete with a phat. I think it would be similar in price to a blue phat.

I don’t think Jagex wants to “cater to the rich” with such a scarce release, their thinking not mine.

Think this was the expectation for scythes and wreaths before they decided to end that rare line off last xmas

At current rates masks and red santa will go near max shards by maybe november at the earliest. Maybe we can start using golden partyhats as currency at that point. This could change depending on green santa being rereleased in december.
