Sorry Tuffty, but what??? To me what you're saying here is the exact opposite as what you responded to me last time I provided 100% proof that someone was manipulating prices. I am referring to the "third and lastly" point.

Trades posted are taken on face value. Yes the F-Mods can suspect the trade to be fake but in the eyes of Jagex it's something the F-Mods can't really deal with as we have no proof whatsoever that it is fake.

Now if the Community can post 101% proof as someone did the other day and was dealt with, the other posts can't be removed as they breaks no rules.

Every trade posted on any thread really is down to if the Community believe it or not. If not then ignore it and move on. I can suspect a fake trade and I ignore it and forget about it. I also look at trades with Pictures or screen shots of trades being done. That adds some weight to the trade and helps Me and others think it might be true. Without a screen shot or other proof then for me personally as a RS player of nearly 20 years will ignore it/them and move on.

You might have missed this bit. 101% proof was posted and the posts were removed. It just has to be good proof though. In that case it was good enough to remove posts.

I'm not sure where the confusion is but I hope that clears that up.

Also that was back in November. I can't remember last week.

Also I went and found the issue and I stand by my posts as the trade was posted 10 days prior and said it was a fresh trade. So there was 101% proof that time.

despite being able to afford new rares I simply refuse to buy em; I quit buying rares after blue hit 10b and invested into bulk items instead; I simply don't see any of the current rares being worth that much therefore I'm not paying that much for junk

They don't care about the rare market or the game in general. They just stoke it to milk MTX based content like Bonds. Just like High tier weapons/Armor/PvM, instead of giving your player base continuous quality content. As for the Sub increase, this is another example

Instead of increasing the XP cap past 200mil or making decades old fun content f2p to increase player count. They would rather indoctrinate people into Retro skins so they can later implement the new character models for MTX.

I honestly see this membership price hike should be blamed on this rare market and all it's merchers and flippers because they are so insanely rich these days, they will pay anything Jagex asks because they would be to scared to lose their pixelated wealth.

And before you start slagging me off, i completely get it, at one point i'd have been exactly the same but it's just a shame how a company as big as Jagex seems to have used this to enhance their profits in these days of world poverty and hardship!

no one with rares buys bonds with rl money. Lending alone reaps big profits. I cannot for the life of me manage to catch Covid. Perhaps it's because I didn't get vaxxed? The travails of those lacking immunity.

There's probably no rare ceiling. There's always going to be that player bossing 5 hrs a day until he gets a phat. I dunno what you make now, 100m an hour?, but it would add up eventually, especially if you buy lower rares on the way up.

If you play 5 hrs a day, 30 hrs a week (a break at some point), that's roughly 3b a week x 52 = 156b in a year.

There is someone out there willing to do it. Not I, for sure.

Also, some players make bank with alt armies, but I don't have the setup, nor the desire, to do that.

It's possible rares fall at some point. Will runescape endure for the next 200 years? If not, we could see a decline in prices. But rs could really endure. Who knows? I hate to say it but every large corporation/business is simply hiking prices because they can - and we will keep paying it. Carlisle group is largest shareholder of RS last time I checked (war profiteers and other unsavoury things) so it makes sense they want $$$ gotta please the shareholders!

At this point, I agree with Trip - I don’t think there’s much of a ceiling so long as there is still a healthy demand.

You largely see the same 5-10 players flipping/trading phats everyday and all day, and I suspect these players have been doing it for years (check out Yo Blue’s footer 🤣&#129315

so the sky is the limit, so long as demand is there and some players have the means to trade

I think that the high gp/hr estimates are pretty off-base; I don’t think a ton of players are making 30m+ per hour consistently off of pvm? Though there are a few and I’ve been quite fortunate with lower-level pvm (nex solos/rax) - unless it’s some stretch of a miracle at this point, you pretty much had to get in on the phat game early (with purp at 100b+) but I’ve been wrong before! Maybe I’m the outlier - I only play a few hours per week so there’s absolutely no way I would ever be able to earn a party hat playing the game the way it was intended

There are some items that are undervalued. If they go up like I hope, a phat is possible.

My issue is I play less than you. Originally, I got a phat from gwd1. Or, I think that's how it went. I might have gotten it with making weapon poisons. Anyway, I've played the game a lot, and it was super easy then. It used to take a month of regular playing to get a phat, maybe more like a week if you had everything maxed, all the gear and stats which took time.

I merched over time, and usually I advanced with little effort.

Now, it's just much more difficult. I guess I'm no longer competing against little kids. I can't even manage to get the best perks yet, due to time constraints.

I'm pretty sure 100m is possible, but you need all the best things. It's like in rl. If you're making 200k a year, you're probably worth that or more. If you're making $10/hr, you might be barely worth that to your employer. You just have to get serious and go pro to make a lot. Learn your stuff, get all the best of everything, stay ahead.
