Why do you think farming has stopped? It hasn't even slowed down a little. Go to W100 and look at the obvious Hat Farmers. My Alts names are not farming names and the same goes for most Farmers I know. Regular game-given names but still PH farming alts.

Noone is farming them to sell them NOW. That's just Nuts! We are not running 5 accounts at once to sell for 300m. We are holding them until after event. My drop price is 1b. The people selling now are just regular players who don't have a clue about Rare Market.
The price will unlikely go below 300m if most Farmers are like me, and I think most are now doing just that, Holding Hats. Why earn 300m, when we can wait a bit and earn 1b?

You are correct but a lot of things need to happen so this hat reaches 1B, it's very common and the struggle will be huge. Thankfully, a lot of people are holding right now.
The action or process of causing so much damage to something that it no longer exists or cannot be repaired.

Some are aiming to hoard 100s/1000s of these hats, 20k+ hats will still be a low supply not many understand this. I feel players still underestimate the amount of gp (buying power) in game.

I think everyone should farm these; this opportunity is unlikely to come back again so get as many as you can in game :) .

i think most ppl will try to buy up all quantity regardless of the situation, lets assume 20k hats at around 500m to keep it simple, that is like 10 trill, that means some ppl could solo buy out 20k at that price. 1b would mean 20 tril at 500m 20k total, that means 2/3 ppl could buy out everything. obviously now at 330-360m thats even cheaper than 500m making it easier to buy out. trusting certain pc lists or prices of items or websites that dont belong to jagex will get you into trouble notice: external websites and trades are your responsibility, dont get fooled!.

To be honest i think there is so much hype for this hat to rise after it geta discontinued.

My prediction is that it will crash after 1-3 days after it gets discontinued in a panic for a few days that it did not rise as most people think. Might go down to 100-200m, but only for a short while. After 1-3 weeks it will probably stabilize around 300-400m and slowly rise after that.

That is what I have been believing. Too many people have the assumption it will start its rise once it officially becomes discontinued. Just like with what happens in the stock market, when a large portion of people assume a rise or drop will happen, it does the opposite. For example, when a lot of the major stocks have great earnings expectations and people start buying on the rise, it drops upon great earning news instead of rises. Too many people have the same idea that the golden phat will rise after it is discontinued. Be careful because it may drop instead of rise.

This is exactly correct. The price is going up right now because of people like myself. We sold at 700+ and were now buying back at sub 350. Which is exactly what I’ve been telling people to do this whole time…. The stubbornness of this community is astonishing.


My most common post so far on this page has probably been “why keep at 700 when you could buy at 350?” I’m mean honestly. Why wouldn’t you double your stake for the same price? Now with added
