Its just a gamble to sell. Not saying the odds are bad lol but its a gamble.

And why would any normal player who slowly gets the hat naturally overtime ever sell his hat for 100m or even less? Its a very nice and unique event item.
Its not like anyone is lacking coins and desperately need some extra. Let alone an amount that wont even cover the cost of the most basic low level gear. The farmers they are a minority,maybe 1/100 people if not less bothers with alts to get 10 hats. There is better things to do with your time. Even if its all afk you still need to set it up,buy members for the alts,put in some more effort. Its just not worth it.
The rwit crew probably has a large excess of gold now that duel is on the way out so they wont bother either and they probably have better methods anyway.
Its just a few people grinding all the cash they can get,they wont have a big impact on the overall number of hats.

The best comparison is actually the Black Santa hat, because value wise it had a very similar price to Golden Phat on release, and that tells us a lot about the supply.

Fish masks were 2-5m on release, you simply can't compare that to a unique 500m item


The only reason the Ghat is at 500m now is because Jagex started the price at 1b. Too many people think that an item's starting price means something. Fish masks started at 500k. The vast majority of hats HAVE NOT entered the game. Most players don't play that much. I've spoken with my clan; I'm the only one in my clan who's made theirs yet. That's at least 180 more hats waiting to be made. Jagex said that a few thousand hats entered the game; there are hundreds of thousands of active players in a given day (not all at once obviously). Maybe 10-15% of the hats that will exist have been made currently. Now with added

The people making this statement are delusional.

They're comparing an item that literally every player can make if they just play 15 minutes a day, to an item that was a 1/2k chance from an item that most players only got 1 of per day. The value of a black santa was dropping until a J mod publicly stated that they were rarer than actual santa hats. People either weren't there when it happened or choose to forget. The black santa didn't just magically spike to over 1b because players suddenly realized their mistakes. Jagex told players it was a super rare item so players bought them up.

So are you going to tell me that by the end of this event, there will be less ghats than regular santa hats? Because that's what would be required for it to be comparable to the blk santa. You're telling me that this item that anyone can make if they just put in 15 minutes a day, will be worth billions. And you think no one is going to make it? You think the bulk of the supply has already entered the game?

You're delusional. You're hoping this is your Party Hat moment where you'll be the person who was there when the super rare item was released. I'll give you a spoiler about how this all ends; it won't be.

Honestly the best item to compare this to is probably the Christmas Tree hat. The vast majority of players never made one, while a few whales made a few. I have a few friends who I watched spend $100+ on spins back then and only were able to make 2-3 of the hats each. I anticipate the ghat will land somewhere around the tree hat personally. It's actually very profitable currently to make them on alts. You just have to buy a bond for membership; you get the money back when you sell the hat to all these people panic buying what they think is gonna be the next black santa. Now with added

People on this thread can call me dumb all they want. But I was there for all the items they're citing as evidence for their wild theories. I saw why every item took the course it did. These people have bought into a lie sold to them by the people who want to keep making easy afk billions making these hats; they need suckers to sell them to.

As far as I'm concerned, I sold mine at 700m. Was easy, clean cash. Now they're around 450m. I could buy it back for a 250m profit but I won't. I'll wait for it to get lower, because it will. The people naïve enough to keep buying these up to maintain the market, don't have enough cash to buy the entire stock that's bound to enter the game. The hat is gonna drop hard.

I'm just trying to save people some money honestly. Now with added

Say what you want, but my speculations have always been right in the past. I've been around here long enough to know how these things go and I know when to hold on and when to cash out.


So many people think their speculations are right; they think this is their moment where they finally make billions. But the fact of the matter is, if they were good at speculation, they'd already have their billions.

If you're the player who can't afford above T70 gear and thinks that hanging onto this thing is gonna make you billions, just cash out. You're only gonna be disappointed as you watch all the better stuff you could have bought flush down the drain as the price gets lower and lower.

If you've already got fat stacks and are pumping cash into these in hopes to turn a profit, by all means, continue; I love making easy cash on these things. Keep the price up for as long as your bank can maintain it. Now with added

You are not dumb, you're pretty much stating the facts even though 100M mark will never be possible for them. Just to create alt and buy shard you need around 75M so noone will spend 16-20h for 25M profit. Might drop but won't be even close to that. I don't see it falling below 300M or so.
The action or process of causing so much damage to something that it no longer exists or cannot be repaired.

I agree. The 100m claim was hyperbole to match the people claiming this would be the next Black Santa (both are equally ridiculous.)

I actually believe it'll stabilize around the 200m mark, somewhere near the Christmas Tree Hat. Now with added
