yeah, and that's fine. i didn't say you couldn't have feelings. i'm just stating that if old holiday rewards were rereleased it wouldn't cause the game to go into disarray. the game would not crumble.

You'd be surprised.

When people discuss how jagex is running their business and there is that one braindead clown who needs to say "It's a for profit business. They need to make money".
Like, wow amazing. Who would've ever thought that these promos were meant for profit.
Genius
Yeah, right? Specially when there is an even more braindead person saying "tHey wiLl nEver rEreLeAse raRes AgAiN! oR I wiLl sToP PlAyiNg"
It is funny to think of some people actually hoarding rares like Gollum from Lord of the Rings (
"My Precious!"
LOL). But we live in a society where facts are criticized as braindead and pulling information from a place with no light is "common sense" lmao
It's almost as if companies need to balance maximizing their profits with keeping their customer base happy, which is why the future direction of a company is up for debate.
Short term profit increase at the expense of driving customers away in the long run is not "common sense".

Right! Because obviously 95% of the player base who don't own a rare will definitely quit tomorrow if they release/rerelease them! It is obviously "common sense" to satisfy the top 5% of players who own rares, and allienate the 95% asking for them. Bravo!
I don't know much about Jagex's own KPIs, but I am willing to bet (since they already released 2 rares and about to release 2 more by the end of the year) that they must be looking pretty good. It kind of is like they have some sort of business degree and real world experience! Who would have thought that you could make business decisions by looking at engagement metrics? And who would have thought you (as an analyst) can assume certain things by the direction the company is heading now? Wow!
Now please, if you really think people will start quitting in hoards with the release/rerelease of rares, HA! you are betting to the losing side. I just have to bring one example: Rubber turkey when its discontinued status got revoked! lol...

You really like to get so defensive and hype at same time when you're trying to make a statement about a game lol.
On topic, when we're talking about rares we're thinking of discontinued rare items so not 4 but only 1 this year. We tehnically don't know would those festive items be discontinued but if it's from TH their numbers will be relatively high anyways.
Yes, people would quit. Rubber turkeys were never accepted in community anyways, that is a terrible example and a lot of us were for the idea of revoking that item or just didn't care at all.
We are talking about real, original rares.. not Rubber turkeys and other trash that you've mentioned.

If you really think that more than half the playerbase in this game would leave just because of something so trivial then you're delusional. holiday items do not make this game what it is. the players do. the community. this game is not built on the foundations of holiday items. i wish more people would understand this. it really isn't the end of the world if jagex decided to bring some old holiday items back that literally have no worth in the game. the fact you make it seem like they do is just ludicrous.
