[2/2] "Whether that is going to be through normal gameplay or future events, I don't know yet. However, the Luma legendary pet and the halo of returning are going to be exclusive to this event.".
As you can see, the first statement leans towards all rewards returning, then the second statement is undecided. Then the third and fourth statements seem towards discontinued status. This is misleading, maybe intentionally so. Even though FSW is not a Treasure Hunter event, it is still an event where if the rewards are high price, people will play it more to get those prizes for their high value.
Why is this a bad thing?
1. It's bad for trust between the playerbase and Jagex. It may create a false hope. It also is so vague that there is endless discussion possible about the interpretation. It also makes it seem like the mods are just randomly flipflopping between decisions and do not communicate with each other well.
2. It will make people value new releases less and less. The pattern of new "rares" being introduced and then getting re-released suddenly erodes trust in Jagex and in new items. Why would you buy keys when you can get the item for cheap? If you don't have the cash you can just buy a bond or two instead of 500-1k keys. And why would you invest in an item when it will surely get re-released again. Take the halo's for example. People grinded hard for them. Their grind would be worth a lot less if they would be re-released again.
3. It will hurt your profits in the long run. The number 1 thing that causes people to buy things irl is when it's limited. You get the fear of missing out. Now many re-releases later and trust eroded (remember turkeys?), how many people get that fear now when they know it'll just be re-released again and up for pennies later?
If you need bulk items quickly, PM me ingame.
