I would also prefer if invention was linked to more skills. Jagex shouldn't be afraid to create new meta items through invention, that would require high level skills to create. For example flasks that auto drink the potion are underwhelming. They could release a special gizmo that combines with flasks at a rate of 1:1 and gives that auto consume effect (at a cost of components). Or a machine that passively transmutes low tier charms to higher tier with the use of components we get from divination energies.

Just like divination, it would give those skills another extra 99 levels without raising the cap. Then it can be added to summoning skill to create new familiars within 1-99, but with special invention perks.

The capes were meant to be purely cosmetic upgrade from normal skillcapes, unless Jagex changes their philosophy on it, it should remain that way.

I disagree, just look at the nightmare that was the M&S rework. It's taken years for it to finally come to live due to how integrated the skill is in the game and with other skills. Don't even need to imagine a rework of invention, just imagine changing one small aspect of the skill could have unforseeable reprecussions. I don't believe that invention needs to be somehow integrated into every single skill.

Plz explain how.


invention consume items , if u mix it to create new stuff for new content that are consumables such as charms for new summons it'll make older content always be relevant for something , wich is very cool to keep the game content very big (healthier economy, content, etc)


i dont know about other skills RIGHT NOW but i dont see a reason to make a new or two new tier of charms that consume gwd1 and 2 comps to make..

dude. where the hek did i tell u to rework invention? im just saying that invetion was crated for a reaso n: CONSUME ITEMS. So why not use it into new content from skills? Ofc not every single thing, but why not 2 new tiers of charms? using gwd1/2 comps

2 slots , wont hurt any1's bank space. If it does , u have a lot of junk in it

i agree... and the most important thing is : making consumable stuff , so we always sink items... (god tier charms using gwd1/2 materials for levels 100-120 familiars)

Dude, where the heck did I say that you told me to rework invention? I'm just saying that integrating a skill into other skills too much could cause problems down the road, invention doesn't need to be that integrated, its already more integrated than any other skill.

And I never said it was a bad idea to remove more items from the game, summoning is already doing that by consuming tertiaries, you don't need to make new, untradable charms that will clog up bank spaces.

I'm not the one complaining, just take a look at any thread about bank space complaints, I'm actually the one making fun of people hoarding items, I have more than 70+ free space and I still got plenty of bank slots I could buy from SGS. I brought up bank space issue because I know people will whine about it. I've been in all of those threads.
