It's worth noting that space exploration wouldn't actually be too different from what we can already do; we've already visited other planets like Mazcab, Tarddiad, and Freneskae. Granted, we did this through World Gates instead of through technology, but the point stands; we can definitely find ways to leave Gielinor and explore other worlds.
I don't think we'll get a skill out of it; I'm not sure how you'd do level progression for such a skill and I think it's infinitely more likely that we'd explore other planets as part of other content like quests or expansions like Mazcab. But I wouldn't dismiss the idea of space exploration out of hand.
I also don't think Aviation, Swimming, or Robotics are going to be skills, either. Aviation runs into the same problems as space travel (as does Sailing for that matter), Swimming feels like a logical expansion for Agility as has already been mentioned, and Robotics feels more like an Invention expansion.
I have to agree with Naragren that, of all the skill ideas I've seen mentioned by players, Music feels like the most likely to become a standalone skill. There's a lot of potential for a support-oriented skill, and as I've said before the idea of Bards helping other adventurers (and themselves) out by playing music is a fantasy fixture that RuneScape has yet to adopt. And it would have an obvious route for skill progression by unlocking new songs and instruments as you go along, while giving you experience with every song you play.
