Didn't they say the were only planning to do 4 quests in 2019?
If so, didn't we just knock off half of them for the year?

They never said 4 quests in 2019.

There will be an Easter Quest this year. So at least 3 quests before the end of April already. You better believe there are going to be more than 1 quest in the remaining 8 months of the year. :)

Distinctly possible that I misheard it in that they had 4 quests already planned for the year, not "only planned 4 quests in the year".

It is very encouraging to see 2 brand new quests before the start of March! This is a great step in the right direction! Keep it up, Jagex!

Let's just hope that Deltaslug misheard Jagex when they said "Only 4 quests for 2019." If that statement isn't true, we could be looking for a great year for questers! But again, there's got to be a good amount of quests. Releasing these 2 and then not releasing one for 6 months isn't going to, as the saying goes, "cut the mustard." On the other hand, if they release another two within the next 2 months, they'll be on fire!

Let's hope for somewhere in between those 2 possibilities and that these "under the hood" changes for the quest list have worked!

Take care everyone, I'm still happy to reply to any comments/questions you have for me :D !

Whilst I agree that there has been a lack of quests... the time/expenditure to produce such is outweighed by the need for content accessible to a wider portion of the player base.

Not sure what can be done here :S
Have fun and enjoy the community.

I do understand where you're coming from, however, as I have said before in other words, without quests progressing the story of the game, we're left with a game that's stuck in time. This is the issue.

Bullshit

We got plenty of quests.

So get tucking on them!!! :)

This is difficult when I (and other players) have completed near enough all of them! I got the Quest Cape back in 2015 and the ONLY reasons why I haven't completed a couple of the quests is that I've got to replay Dimension of Disaster for the MQC and I'm trying to save up some quests for me to do at a later date, so, when I'm really in a questing mood, I have some to do! Sadly, your post assumes that everyone hasn't completed all the quests and therefore doesn't apply to quite a few players.

I believe I mentioned a few times on this thread quests are not the only way for story-telling in a game. We have a lot of lore dropped by mobs as well as dialogues from NPCs. We also get lore from live events like 'Till Death Does Us Apart.

In fact, every item or NPC in this game can have a story to tell, even a grain of sand may have a piece of important lore on it.

Quests can be limited by development resources, creativity is unlimited. :)

Quests, history, lore and legends seem to be in the agenda of Runescape now.

In their latest job post for a Senior Product Marketing Manager - Runescape, Jagex seemed to have updated their self description to:

"Our teams are the architects of fantastic realms, the creators of quests, the writers of history, the makers of legends. "

This sounds really promising to players who love quests, lore, history, stories, legends infantastic realms such as Gielinor and Fresnake. :)
