Not that jagex revealed more than just Piece of Hate in term of quests a year ago. You should have known it a year ago but obviously you still paid, and paid since 2011. ;)

So I suppose I can predict the future now then? I could somehow a year ago have said "Jagex isn't going to release any more quests this year, I should unsubscribe!"

I have paid since 2011, yes. But back then I had tons of quests to do. Now I'm waiting for them. Take me back 4 years and I would be in my element. Between 8-10 quests a year so I wouldn't get tired of the same old skilling grind. 2 is just laughable.

One thing I feel that I must ask is, with all due respect: Why are you always fighting Jagex's corner? Can you not see my point at all about the fact that in 2008 there were 19 quests while in 2018 there are currently 2?

Do you not have any gripes with the game at all and feel like Jagex is a perfect company? You don't get anywhere in this world unless you complain a little.

Why should I have any "gripes" with any game? Games are entertainments. You are also complaining in the wrong forums. The FGU is for discussions of Jagex announced projects in the FUTURE.

You kinda avoided my main question asking "Why are you always fighting Jagex's corner?" but sure. You have completely different opinions to me on the way forums/games should work and you can't seem to understand my way of looking at it. You are entitled to your opinion but I don't feel like we have any more to discuss about the "Lack of New Quests" in RuneScape if we can't agree on anything.

You have given me your opinion and I appreciate it, but unfortunately, we share no common ground on this issue.

Mod Osborne has previously said (a month or two ago) that *multiple* quests are in the pipeline and should arrive before Christmas. There's only 3 months left in the year, so the odds are looking pretty good that we'll get one next month.

Things can always change, and Jagex haven't formally confirmed what the quests actually are (wait for RuneFest apparently...) so it's still possible for plans to change and Mod Osborne may have been a bit optimistic in his posts on Reddit, but we'll just have to wait and see.

I am not "fighting Jagex's corner". I have different opinions from theirs too. For instance, the number of HoI required to re-roll the current Capsules event. I just don't keep arguing for years just because of a minor thing.

Mind I ask you "why are you always fighting against Jagex then"? I don't really need to ask this question but consider it a way to answer your question. In case if you still don't understand, the answer is it is so obvious that any player can agree, disagree or be neutral with Jagex. It is even a silly question to ask.

As customers, our feedback and criticism can push a company to improve or change direction. And recently Jagex's performance has been very poor.
You do always fight Jagex's corner and defend and support every bit of monetisation and defend their lack of content. I don't understand why a paying customer would be such a bootlicker and not ask for more content for the game they enjoy from a company whose profits have soared.

220 quests have been released to date excluding reworks. Since RS Classic thats an average of 12.9 per year.
This average has been brought down significantly over the last 5 years as Jagex have released less and less content compared to previous years, particularly quests. We have had two quests in 9 months as the price of membership has increased while MTX promos are being pushed out on a weekly basis. Jagex are monetising the game in every way they can, but the quality and quantity of their content has been decreasing.

Let's compare 2018 to ten years ago.
2018 (9 months in): 2 quests (1 short 1 long)
2008: 18 quests (including many very long, well written quests such as While Guthix Sleeps, Defender of Varrock, Summer's End)

Was 2008 a quest oriented year? Jagex also released Summoning, Corporeal Beast, Fist of Guthix, Stealing Creation and various other additions.
Quests, Minigames, PvM, PvP, Skilling... It's almost like there was a time when Jagex nutured every area of the game and put the effort in to release 18 quests, a skill, a boss (two if bork counts), 5 minigames, PvP worlds and various smaller updates within a year.

Nowadays they recieve a huge revenue they do not reinvest, in favour of short term profits.
You'll get it when you deserve it.
