Don't look now, but RuneFest is this month!
We could learn the fate of RoP for 2018 there (although I seriously doubt RoP will come in 2018)

I can almost guarantee you if I see Mod Osborne at Runefest, I will be reminding him that we're still waiting, and how unfortunately thin the patience of many of my peers has grown. I still wasn't expecting to see it in 2018 anyways, given the huge amount of work still left for tying up loose ends in the Fifth Age, let alone adding the Mining and Smithing rework, which will itself probably delay even more quest content.

I know you've all waited years for this, but we all don't get what we want out of life and this just might be one of those things. I'm not here to laugh at your misery or to provoke you. I know, even I'm shocked.
I think Rite of Passage had its chance for release with Expansion content, and now that that's scrapped I doubt we'll be seeing this for quite a few years now... if at all?
My stance on this is the same as ever, The Quest pitched is boring and You didn't do yourselves any favors with the mass spam, it simply annoyed the wider "Community" to go mostly against you and this entire idea.
I'm not against an Armadyl quest, or an Abbinah quest, I'm against my ears being blasted by impatience for a rather weak quest idea that would leave a very dull impression on I'm guessing even a few of you were it to ever be released.
Honestly, helping a child fetch water? Add in island hopping all you want, that's enough to send someone to sleep.
I think "Rite of Passage" should be laid to rest, but that doesn't mean an Aviansie focused quest shouldn't be made. But it should be interesting, memorable, and be given the time it needs to be developed without being screamed about.
I'm just saying, maybe it's time, like the phoenix, you fall with dignity and rise into something people other than this small circled community can get behind, you won't win any votes/fans with this being your flagship quest, you've sunk that ship already.
Start fresh, perhaps get creative yourselves. Just do something other than roosting here crossing your fingers hoping for a quest we all know, and you should now accept, will likely never see the light of day.
