The new quest certainly seems interesting


There's very real potential to dive into Armadyl and the Aviansie here, with his whole fascination with mortality, his 'secret', etc, etc.

Or on the other hand, also very possible to sign him off without ever having had much of a focused storyline.

Not sure what to make of this one, not being all caught up on things anymore. I guess we'll see next month and beyond-

The next big storyline is Legacy of Zamorak . We’re not likely to see any new Armadyl content in the foreseeable future. Instead, we get six months of Zamorak content.

Stuff like this is why I quit and why I can’t blame anyone like me for quitting. If you’re an Armadylean then this game isn’t for you. Never has been really, but Jagex isn’t even pretending anymore.

I wouldn't sit and expect anything actively unless they mention it directly, but I wouldn't either say Twilight of the Gods or Legacy of Zamorak is any blow to the chances of Armadylean content. If anything it is a good sign they are going for longer focused periods of content, and well Zamorak is a natural first focus given what's happening.

I did the new quest myself now and I must say it doesn't feel that grim. I believe they will be able to follow up on things after that as needed with the Armadyl faction and others. The story potential is very much there. There's definitely things building in the background with Armadyl and the Elves that could be the hook for more focus in a post-edicts world ^_^ Rite of Passage

Now with the gods officially departing, Armadyl Included, I am curious to hear where things will go. Stories will likely be more grounded for a while.

How the story moes forward in the next 6 months and whatever comes after the Zamorak focused content should show make things clearer I reckon.

There's potential for stories following up the Elves/Aviansie after all the new developments. It is also clear that of all the gods, Armadyl is one of the ones we're most likely encounter again. Being he is on friendly terms with us and helping the elves in a world we can visit. Rite of Passage

They never planned to make Rite of Passage 2. They have a plan on avainsies when they work on Stormguard Citadel content though.

Armadyl himself doesn't want to go back to Abinnah either. Perhaps it is too old and boring. His first choice was becoming a farmer in Wildy where his husband Obi loved to do, but then he changed his mind and went to Tarddid. If Aviansies are leaving Abbinah, wouldn't they go to Tardidd to help Armadyl to free and modernize it there rather than coming to Gielinor? It is natural selection.

Where are you getting the idea that there’s plans for more Stormguard content? Even though we got less content than other factions, Stormguard is still a complete thing. The only thing I’d heard even similar to this was that they originally planned to make an agility course there, but as far as I know the idea was scrapped in development.

Stormguard's story is far from complete. Can you tell us who hired Agent Howl to create all those experiemental godstaffs/godswords/godswords? And what happened afterward? How did the patchwork godswords got into the GWD1? What about the technologies that let RS3 players fly? Who wanted to fly like the Aviansies?

There are a lot of interesting things and unsolved mysteries around Stormguard, at least lorewise.

The wording on this reads to me that they will make more content like the Stormguard Citadel (e.g. story coming in alongside other relevant content, like with Archaeology at the time). Not necessarily that they specifically will make more content in Stormguard Citadel.

Not to say they can't do more with the stories introduced there of course. Rite of Passage
