Rite of Passage still isn't a thing :(

Of course it is a thing. It's an idea. A dream. It exists in the minds and hearts of those who want it.
It's just not a physical ... uh ... a software coded ...thing.

It's still alive
somewhere
in Mod Raven's PC

The Sixth Age storyline is continuing for real as of this month with Desperate Times so I figure I might as well uhhh do a little reaching write-up on it :D

Well Armadyl is gonna be there at least but he's far from a main character according to the description so don't expect too much here.

We can take note of the fact that Armadyl and Seren are the only two actual gods shown, given their dialogue in Endgame, as it can mean more development for the two and their potential plan on the sideline.

ROP isn't really an Elder God thing, however Abbinah might still have some significance wrt elder gods because it was shattered and it houses an Elder Artefact.

I'm beginning to think the original concepts will need to be scrapped.
Afterall, the plans were for the player to do some Avianese stuff to help the Avianese.
Since Sliske's Endgame, the new concept is getting the Avianese off Abbinah.

I can see a few scenarios:
- we help one of the last young Avianese do the original concept. The bird wants to prove itself, and what better way than to be the last to achieve it.
- Someone forgot something, and the player char is requested to get it. Along the way, the player learns about the ancient traditions. (sort of like what the player encounters in learning the Mahjarrat early customs in Children of Mah)
- The quest is now helping with the general evacuation. Thus "Rite of Passage" is now what it takes to get offworld rather than the traditional meaning of taking the next stage in life
- An older Avianese is refusing to leave, and instead, takes a Rite of Passage to die the way they want in the place of their choosing.

Armadyl is the only false idol attending the Desperate Time meeting probably because she is the least vulnerable false idol left. However, if other Avainsies come from Abbinah, they may be the targets of the Dragonkin once more. For that reason, I think there is no more Abbinah or Rite of Passage stories for a while.

Now that Armadyl has disposed Big High War God, she basically has no other major false idol tribal rivalries to deal with. The Dragonkin are after false idols, but Armadyl presumably obtained her powers from the Staff, not the Stone of Jas which cursed and pained the Dragonkin to eternity. Perhaps she is a lesser target of the 'Kin.

Now that Zaros has returned, Zammy has a lot to worry about besides Saradomin. Obviously he chickened out.

Saradomin is a false idol with wisdom. He konws his powers is fading when he failed to revive Sir Owen. False idol with wisdom knows to go into hiding when it is time to hide. :D

And Zaros is never against the Elder Gods. He wants to be an Elder God himself. Logically, he would not side with the Gielinoreans to fight against Elder Gods whom he hoped to be eventually one.

So I’m not massive on the lore or anything, but even I know that a fair chunk of what you just said is way off base.

Right?!

Dilbert:

1). Armadyl is *male.*

2). I don't think the Necrosyrtes are after any more false users/false idols, seeing as there is no more Stone of Jas. Although, I'm sure we'll learn more about this as we follow Kerapac's story in future quests and content.

3). Armadyl did not obtain godhood using the Elder Siphon (the Staff of Armadyl). He ascended accidentally when he stumbled upon an Elder Artefact (we don't know which one yet, but it's either the Template, the Hammer, or the Codex) on Abbinah. He found the Elder Siphon much later, on an unknown world.

4). Zamorak does not have anything more to worry about since Zaros' return, as I'm pretty sure Zaros himself stated at the end of Fate of the Gods(? or somewhere else) that he is indifferent towards Zamorak and does not plan on seeking vengeance against him. In short, he has bigger fish to fry (the Elder Gods).

5). I don't think that failing to *fully revive Sir Owen is a sign of Saradomin's supposed dwindling power and strength. He's ascended a godhood tier since the Battle of Lumbridge; On the contrary, he's stronger than he's ever been (not that I like the guy; I don't). It's just that reincarnation and manipulation of life requires even more power than he has to be properly executed. This is touched upon somewhere.

6). Zaros both wants to reach Elder God power levels and also stands against Jas, Ful, Wen, and Bik. Their goal is to destroy the world, killing everyone and effectively turning Gielinor into Freneskae. Zaros decidedly does not like that. His goal is to save the universe.
The best things in life are h i dden. You have to seek them out! :D
