A construction based activity similar to Artisan's Workshop.
The crystal shapeshifters don't really have a society or infrastructure. The Avianese are packing up to move to a whole new world.
Frankly ... they need furniture. And not the human type of furniture since their physiology might not sit too well in a human chair.
You have planks in your inventory. You could have an NPC calling out furniture or a rather simple interface.
Unlike current workbench construction, this one, players would technically create a flatpack (ie: Oak Elven Chair, Teak Avianese Perch) but the planks disappear from your inventory.
Step 1: You get a message in your chatbox that goes
"You create the [name] flatpack."
Step 2: You see in chatbos
"You hand the flatpack to [the NPC]."
Step 3: You get XP chunk.
Step 4: repeat steps 1-3 ad nausea.

What rewards do you want from this?

I like the idea of discovery, but how about making us work for that discovery as a community?

Perhaps a certain island that'll only be accessible under certain circumstances, or a PostQuest Puzzle that'll take more than your average Clue solver to figure out, I don't mean for you to send us on another Ga'al hunt like Stu, God bless him but that was exhausting.

Something permanent, something that'll make people tell a story over having to discover it as a team, having it be Scenic, Generous with Exp, and of course containing the best reward of all, Post quest Lore.

I
love
this, but is it something people would actually want? I mean I would genuinely love to create a bunch of tasks and clues to solve that unravel some post quest story and give rewards, but I worry it would annoy too many people.

You can never please everyone,

But I think for for lack of a better term the core audience here, which'll be the Lore community would be what this is aimed to the most, So I think we'd appreciate and love this, we might be at each others throats over Gods but we love a good unraveling story.

Arbitrary fun idea:
Pitch me an aviansie island.

I might try and incorporate my favourites. The island mechanics should be simple, but could include a skilling activity, an interesting group of people that need to be spoken to, or a strange puzzle to activate the island's benefits.

Note: I might also not use any ideas, but it popped into my head as a potential fun way of getting a nice reference for you guys into the quest you've pushed so hard for.

Armadyl's Lost Sanctuary

Armadyl as a god, for all his power, cannot save an entire planet.

But what he could do is salvage but one Island, one he has granted near absolute protection to from the hostilities of Abbinah, on this Island his most resourceful, faithful, and integral followers gather to relax from the day to day struggle of survival and to speak with Armadyl himself, who if present on Abbinah will likely be on this spot.

Many Aviansie and other Armadyleans have made their way to this Island in the past, and a tradition was formed that seeds would be planeted on their departure so the next people along to seek respite would be able to enjoy the harvest, a continuous cycle of paying the favor forward.

But Armadyl had abandoned Abbinah long ago, and without his presence and divine upkeep the Island eventually lost its protective nature and fell not only into the cycle of gravity the other Islands are lost in, but into pure myth among the Armadylean following and population of Abbinah itself

We'll have to not only Re-Discover this Island, by speaking to those who have dedicated their lives to the noble cause of Lorekeeping but also reactivate its protective barriers as to make it once more a sanctuary Armadyl can utilize as both a refuge and a foothold on Abbinah.

TL;DR: A very special Island Armadyl would've used to sit and commune with his people and high ranking followers on Abbinah, a couple of Farming patches would be present in order to "Pay the favor forward" and a Divination related activity should be there in order to maintain the Islands protection, once rediscovered I ideally envision this is where we go to meet Armadyl Post-Quest along with his newly appointed Guardians and hopefully Kamiee too.

A strange puzzle to activate the island's benefits?

Maybe there are 5 tiles, inscribed with old aviansie symbols. When they are stood on, the Chief standing next to the final tile invokes ancient enchantments, livening up the island. This is the same way a Clan Citadel is opened, so maybe its possible to recycle some of that code.

So you'd mostly see this as a lore island I assume, bits and bobs of aviansie lore back from the days of Armadyl's unification of the world? Not a large amount in the way of game mechanics?

Yeah, I'd rather it be narratively beautiful but mechanically simple, I envisioned a farming patch or two (Or however many you like really) and a Divination related activity, some sort of "Machine" or Runic circle surrounding the Island in order to keep it safe and get a nice fragment of exp from that.

I'd prefer the island be rooted in Lore, scenery and memories getting there rather than how much exp it can give me.

So, special graphics would make it problematic because graphical assets are the most expensive part. What about if it was using the existing graphics, what would it need for you to be happy with it?

I really love places such as the Lost Grove, Enchanted Valley, The nature surrounding the Memorial to Guthix area and that final spec of nature in the Wilderness, those would be my references.

I never expected brand new graphics for it don't worry I won't sulk if I see the same textured grass twice, for me to be happy all I'd want is for it to stand out as a Gods Sanctuary ought to from the rest of Abbinah and if going by my examples I think that's easily done because they're absolutely cracking in terms of the peaceful setting I'm imagining.
