I've never seen any nastiness, cruel or spiteful behaviour, from any of the supporters of R.O.P.

What I have seen, is the polar opposite of those traits. So have some free antonyms they're actually nice, kind and thoughtful players.

Even if there's exeamples I'm not aware of, it's only natural for someone to be defensive of something they feel strongly about.

So I dunno try talking to whoever you see as possessing those traits, or if you can't do that just ignore the whole thing and walk away. Don't rob the rest of the player base, of what could be a great quest, simply because you hate an individual who supports it. Check out Thieves guild layout redesign. Happy ‘scaping

Yeah, these people are basically spouting lies and exaggerations, especially about Armadyn, who is very afraid of offending anyone or causing any conflict. Mod Osborne knows us Armadyleans want content. I will not be "hassling" him or anyone else over this; I know he is a very busy person at Runefest; I talked to him last year and he said he admired our passion. I would basically be asking for a moment of his time so that I can make a clear and concise point about how bad this has gotten. I've already told Mod Raven that alternatives can and should be considered to this quest; part of my very brief talk with Mod Osborne will include this. I may, if I have the time, put together a summary of a suggestion I have, which I would like to put up on the suggestions forums some time after Runefest. Serious input from anyone and everyone, even Leth, will be welcome.

I would strongly suggest those who are bringing community drama to this thread to stop immediately. Though, as Romona said, these seem to be throwaway accounts meant to stir up drama on the forums. I've been on my mobile in London addressing this stuff in downtime, so you'll have to forgive me for not being more diligent about Forum posting histories. I am, however, very fully aware of Leth's history with is, but I genuinely think he's trying to be nice, so I will respectfully return the favor to him in turn. I may even meet him in person at Runefest—it would be an interesting opportunity for us to hear each others' side of this issue and pthers without the filter of the Internet to embolden one party to say stuff to the other they'd never say in person.

Anyways, Runefest is tomorrow. I don't expect a reveal of RoP or any Armadyl content, and given the history of attempts to give Armadyl some content, I'd take it with boylders of salt. Saltier salt than I or r/runescape could make.

Don't get your hopes up too high; you'll just be let down again. Probably.

I will admit I have been a little rude in the past, but that is out of annoyance because it hasn't come out and keeps getting shelved. But in no way is it as bad as some make it seem.

I have followed RoP from the moment it was announced, the only people I see who are extremely rude are those who hate Armadyl and Quests. Like some of the posts on previous pages. No one who supports RoP has acted like this. We get annoyed, yes, but we don't get angry.

I still personally believe RoP needs to be canceled and re-established in a different way or we get 1 or 2 quests before for RoP that involves the Aviansie so that we have something small to feed us. Come the Sixth-Age, the world will need the World Guardian.

As for those telling us to stop. You need to just leave this thread. And I am think a lot more anger is coming from those who believe being gay is a bad thing since Armadyl is gay. (And I know that is probably a large amount of the hate now, because people refuse to accept it)

It is not that we are obsessed with the quest, it is the fact that we have little to no lore on Armadyl and we need lore. The quest was for the lore players. If it was only a few of us, it would never be in the polls to begin with.

Spitting on the people who want this quest is spitting on the entire lore community which this game is built on and the main reason a lot of people still play the game. Come the Sixth-Age, the world will need the World Guardian.

Greetings, good Aviansie, from a player of World 42. I'm one of the leading trio of the established Guardians of Armadyl on the role-playing world - in my case, the Master Battlemage, chief guardian (now seeker) of Our Lords Staff, and overseer of the Divine Focus. Anyway, in all seriousness I will talk to the other Knights and the Initiate Guardians about putting a link to this in their signature, or something of the sort to support it. It is sad that we know more about the fallen enemy of Armadyl than we do about Armadyl himself - and the difference is...rather vast.

While I do welcome player support, we're well past the point of polls. The Jmods are very aware—there's a group of them who are just as passionate as us about this. Though unfortunately due to family issues, Mod Osborne was unable to attend, I still got to speak with some key figures, such as Mod Stu, Mod Kelpie, Mod Orion, Mod Conor, and of course, Mod Raven. I described the HL3-like scenario this quest has been sucked into, and suggested that it might be time to go back to the drawing board. At the end of the day, I said to most of these people, I just want some Aviansie Lore and Content—it doesn't need to be RoP. Look to the suggestions forums for one of my ideas...it'd be a project too big for a TAPP but likely not as expensive as Abbinah.

I'd also be remiss not to mention the Lore Q&A. I didn't even plan to ask about RoP at all; however, someone else did. The answer, as I remember, was the same as always: we really want to make it, Mod Raven and others push for it constantly internally, but they also want to "do it justice," which of course makes it a VERY expensive update.

During the first Q&A section, I asked a simple question: what is Obi'Sooth's gender? It's not mentioned in game. Obi'Sooth is confirmed male, which shoots down my theory that Obi is the mother of Kree'Arra and Armadyl is the father.

Someone else also asked if the artefact on Abbinah is responsible for its state. This is not so. Make of that what you will...

The new Marshall of the Guardians of Armadyl, i.e. Idria's auccessor, is named Chevyra . I later confirmed the spelling with Mod Raven. Of note is that Chevyra has an Aviansie name, but is not an Aviansie; this person (and this is MY SPECULATION) took an Aviansie name for themselves, possibly after having gone through their own Rite of Passage.

I'd of course strongly recommend watching the entire VOD of the lore marathon on YouTube, as there was generally a lot of interesting stuff there.
