I don't know why you are bumping up a 2.5 old dead thread.
Jagex has already told us there would not be a new MMORPG called Runescape Remastered. They are working on a couple of new Runescape games but they would not be anything like RS3, and not even MMORPG.
Mod Pips has recently talked to MCV/Develop Magazine about the direction of Jagex under the Carlyle Group:

The new Runescape Franchise games will not be MMORPGs although Mod Pips also talked about their new games like SCUM, and pointed to it as a deeply community driven, and the community may actually poll and decide what content the game is going to develop, much like OSRS.
We are not going to have a RS3 Remastered as Mod Pips told us they are "super serious" about the Runescape they have been working on for over 20 years. They aren't going to just "remaster" and throw away the "huge amounts of creative energies in there". Instead, they want to use such over 20 years of "huge amounts of creative energies" in their "super serious" game to find new communities and create new ones in plenty of new generes. Essentially, RS3 will be the juggernaut of the new Runescape Franchise for new opportunities outside the MMORPG genre, but itself won't be replaced by a "remastered" new MMORPG.
If there is going to be a remastered Runescape Franchise game, we are far more likely to have OSRS Remastered1, OSRS Remastered2 etc to supplement the current OSRS, depending on how many different communities Jagex will find.
As shown in RS20 Aniversary, RS3 or "sort of almost RS4" is the past, the present and the future.
