As long as it has F2P in it that is not a "time-limited F2P", and it would be free to install, I would support RS Remasterd. Otherwise I very strongly seriously oppose RS Remastered. There's no confirmation whether the unannounced mmo is or isn't runescape remastered. I think it's highly likely that it will be some semblance to what runescape remastered is/was intentioned to be. It's either going to be a diablo style rpg or an actual mmo like runescape, but everything is brought in to the modern age.

Edit: And by brought in to the modern age I mean updated graphics/tick-system/combat/etc. "

There are actually (at least) 2 new games Jagex is making now.

One is an MMORPG, the Runescape Style. Many people referred to it as "Runescape Remastered".

The other one is a next gen ARPG, but not an MMO. It is said to be more like Destiny than Runescape.

No. Runescape Remastered was (originally) a game announced in ChinaJoy 2016, scheduled to be released in CHINA only, but was never announced outside China.

All along, Jagex has called their new MMO in the making "Unannounced MMO". But AFAIK, it is an MMO, not an action RPG, not something like Diablo.

For those thinking about Action RPG, it probably will be the Next Gen game they "leaked" in 2017 in a live stream.

Can I get a source for this? All sources I've looked at where Mod Pip's (current Jagex executive) talked about the rpg/mmo he said they were one in the same it's just he prefers to use the term rpg for that specific game, but it will be an mmo. Also the rpg in mention they said they liked the destiny-esque style of game. They never said the new rpg was going to be like destiny.

As far as the mmo listed back in 2017 road map for Jagex it's safe to assume the "unannounced mmo" which has been confirmed in production stage development based on past and current job listings on Jagex's website is "runescape remastered." But there's no confirmation whether this mmo will or will not be the action rpg they have been referring to in press interviews which in turn makes it still impossible to say definitively it will not be a diablo-esque style game or a traditional modern day mmo.

Overall point is that we only have what Jagex have said publically (which isn't much) and the job listings that have been put up on their website these past two years which you can only speculate so much about. Only thing we know for sure is that this "unannounced mmo" is being created in unreal engine 4 and is currently in production stage. Even more importantly I'm wondering why it's taking Jagex so long to even release some basic info about this new mmo. We've been waiting for almost 4 years for any shred of news and the only willing information they've given out is that it's a project they're working on. Wish they would throw us a bone. "

Also I am aware that they have said there are "multiple projects" being worked on currently, but there has been no information released about any of those. Only thing I've been able to scrounge up about concept ideas for new games for Jagex have already been scrapped. Project Aurora was one of the more recent ones which you can find alpha concept footage on youtube. "

To further my point even further they just put up a job listing for the unannounced mmo that clearly defines it's an action rpg. They are one in the same thing. I'm super hoping that it's not going to be a diablo-esque type game and that it's going to be like current runescape, but with updated combat/wasd movement/height system/graphics, but we can't say for certain if that's the case. "

Aurora was not really a "project" but just some internal showcase of some Jagex created assets not currently being used. Such assets may be used in one of Jagex's new games in the future though.

In particular, the character transformation shown in the "Aurora" video has been hyped in their unannounced MMO, or if some people prefer to call it Runescape Remastered.
