This year's Halloween Event is said to be more unique than past years... plus we are also going to have a new and the 10th Necromancy Quest called Ancient Awakening also coming in October. It is not hard to connect the dot and think the newly awakened ancient NPC will be related to the Halloween Event.

Now, when the Halloween Event is said to be more unique than past years, it probably will also be more unique than 'Til Death Do Us Apart when we saw the ancient Black Hand and the return of Lucien.

OK with close to 120k players already enjoying Necromancy, I believe most of us have known quite a bit of information of the First Necromancer. Do you think Rasial and Guthix are tied in many ways?

Of course, Rasial explicitly called Guthix the "god of lies". But that's far from all.

Rasial is green so is Guthix. Raisial commands a powerful runed green sword which resembles the Edicts of Guthix. Only that we were able to harness the Edicts of Guthix to banish the gods, and the "Edicts of Rasial" killed us rather.

We were Guthix's chosen one to be the World Guardian. Rasial also chose us to be his apprentice. Guthix had chosen other "Guardians" like the one who became the Balance Elemental... and failed. Rasial also have apprentices like Harmod, and according to Death, other apprentices from time to time since the First Age, and they also failed Rasial apparently...

Guthix went to sleep often and Rasial seemingly has been resting (although I don't know if undead need to sleep) for a long time before he rose periodically.

Guthix gave us life and chose us to guard Gielinor, and Rasial seemingly is doing the opposite - he tried to destroy all life and death.

Guthix's death bought all the gods back to Gielinor. Now all the gods left Gielinor and suddenly Rasial has risen!

Very interesting revelations already seemingly!

Reference #1 I found: the colors - Rasial is mostly
green
, with a springle of
purple
from the Arm Guard.

Guthix is
green
. Zaros is
purple
. Orcus is purple as a Zarosian and he told Rasial about Erebus.

Rasial and Guthix could be birds of the same
green
feathers, prior to the death of the former, and subsequently risen from the power of the Erebus
Purple
.

Angurvadal and the Sword of Edicts apparently have given us a clue too.

The symbols on the Sword of Necromancy reads "ANGUISH", while "BEHAVE" was engraved on the Sword of Edicts.

Perhaps the Sword of Edicts have a spell to cost NPCs to behave and Angurvadal does the opposite, it brings angers to the NPCs and cause them to be aggressive.
