Short story - Yes, there are good RS3 content creators. All of the ones talked about in this thread are prime examples. They just may not be always playing RS3 because of a myriad of factors. In addition to those mentioned, I'd like to suggest Just Background Noise to anyone looking for a good RS3 fix. His videos manage to be more cinematic than the average RS3 video, he has excellent all around game knowledge, and he has a dry sense of humor that hits really well.

--

Now, there's plenty of reasons RS3 doesn't have as many content creators as Old School.

> RS3 has a particularly quick early game that Jagex opts to streamline players through rather than place particular emphasis on. As a result, most content creators aren't putting out "new account" content as often as their OSRS counterparts.

> RS3 doesn't have as many variations of Ironman Mode, only having the standard Irons and Hardcore. This is particularly noticeable with a lack of Group Ironman Mode, which can make YouTubers quite a fair bit of coin as it cycles watchtime between all of the groups members.

> RS3's endgame isn't as varied as OSRS. People don't engage in PvP for the most part in RS3, Minigames that would require sinking a lot of hours into or that lack rewards are dead, and as a result, streamers are left to do either Bossing or Clue Scrolls to generate content.

> RS3 doesn't have Runelite, which makes OSRS not only more user friendly, but also more cinematic and serves as a nice tool for content creators.

> RS3 doesn't have seasonal game modes like Deadman Mode or Leagues that would draw in new audiences periodically.

> Old School RuneScape exists and competes for the same audience. If you like RS3, there' a chance you also like some elements of OSRS, and vice versa.

> RS3's user interface, while unique in that it could be fully customized, isn't a consistent aspect of RS3 content from creator to creator, making it hard to learn by sight as a viewer.

Vast majority of streamers are just bossing. Everybody can see it, regardless it is in RS3 or OSRS.

Please shows us who are streaming pvp in OSRS? Who, except the couple of RS3 streamers RS3 paid to make GIM content, are playing GIM?

Since when does content creators should have anything to do with Runelite and other 3PCs?

The key point remains Jagex isn't paying streamers to make RS3 content, and even so, there are still many variety streamers doing clues, chilling and skilling, bossing and of course quests in RS3.

Now, let's hear what Protoxx has actually said about RS3 just two days ago, that's after the last revision of the Hero Pass:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTr2pYybZVQ

He said he feels like the issue is there is a gap between Necromancy and the next batch of content. It is not about Hero Pass and such. However, we know when October comes, so will the updates.

Protoxx also said the same thing TheRSGuy said about RS3 content creators going to OSRS - money! He said RS3 is also not giving him money to create content and he is greedy too. However, instead of going to OSRS he doesn't like and grind his life out in IM mode he finds no difference than normal mode, he is making content for other games in addition to RS3. He said Init_Yeah is doing the same thing.

I saw some ppl say things like that and it really makes me laugh.
Why is it, I wonder, do they think the content isn't very good or regular in rs3?
I mean, I appreciate they're new, in it for money, and not very interesting, but are they actually brain washed?

Srsly.

If you don't have a problem with mtx and you wonder why the content isn't very good because you think the mtx pays for the content, then maybe grow a brain.

The reason the content isn't very good is the mtx.

The reason for the mtx is ppl whi don't have a problem with mtx.

What part of that is rocket science?

Content creators like Protoxx have played RS3 for years. They played OSRS too and found it too grindy and not worth the time. At least they played OSRS and you didn't. They know far more than you, not to say you have created no content for both RS3 and OSRS.

The question that's going to matter the most on that survey they release won't even be asked.

"What are you willing to tolerate us charging you for?"

Corporate capitalism summed up in a nutshell. We can only hope for a new owner (if the sale proceeds due to legal issues) that wants to take over Jagex and invest in the long term with both a widening of the player base and a deepening of the game.

If we're lucky enough to get that, then a whole new management structure also needs to be put in place.

Did they ask us what we are willing t tolerate them charging them for Partnership MTX? Nope! They don't need to as they can just charge us with Purple Skin and Partnership exclusive Souls Wars worlds.
