got the artisan construction one after I finished the 3 Fort Forinthry quests and almost built every upgrade on all buildings.

got the support one from doing the dung hole at the beach today.

To answer the questions here so far:

You can get shards by using proteans.

At the moment, Sandy Clue Scrolls don't work for the clue step task, but I have a change for that in the pipeline, as it's a nice synergy between the events, so we're looking to hotfix that in.

Shards are not much rarer than in the previous event.

Bossing should be the same,

Clue steps might be slightly different, because I changed it from clue scrolls to clue steps.

Skilling shards are balanced to take a bit longer this time, but not drastically so, since there's more quick shards (Jagex account, gold/proteans, premier, quests(if you have them already completed)) this time around.

EDIT: since the post

HOTFIX 1 June 2023:
Completing sandy clue steps now also gives a chance at receiving the clue scroll golden cape shard.[2]

I've been doing Thieving since several hours. Still no Support Shard. This event is completely broken.

Almost 1 million thieving xp with no support shard so far here...

I've got 3 shards from the Fort quests and having the Jagex account set up but nothing from anything else. I thought that the Beach must not give shards because I've had nothing from there.

I'm a bit worried that, given that it's been going a few days now, I've not had any of the others. I'm going to try doing proper clues (not the Sandy ones that I've been doing) and see if I get any joy there.

Did some clues and finally got the shard but after loads of steps, also got the gathering one after 1 action when I accidentally clicked on an archaeology spot when I was doing a clue.
Definitely RNG although I had done quite a bit of fishing beforehand so maybe the bad luck mitigation is working?

Chasing the artisan and support ones now, hope everyone is finally getting them all.

Wondering the same thing. Hours at the beach hours of slayer no shards at all. Yet some players already finished their cape hunt and are selling in w2.

I got 4 shards from playing - Quest, Gathering, Combat, Clue.

We also get 2 shards from simply linking to Jagex Accounts, and 1 from Premier Club. That's 7 shards.

Literally, I can be selling my Golden Cape now too if I want to, just by trading 10k proteans or 25 mil gp for the last one, but there is still weeks left for this promotion, I will just be playing RS3 the regular way and see if the last shard drop somewhere with me paying 10k proteans.
