I decided to wait on todays sandy clue scroll until after the downtime to see if that was what they were fixing yet I still haven't got it.

ok can someone please confirm if you have gotten a shard from sandys or are everyone talking bs and if so is it still bugged i've wasted all my sandys and clues just for this 1 shard and i despise clues so im getting seriously annoyed now.

I don't know if this helps but I had to do 28 easy clues and 2 medium clues as well as the sandy clues before I got the clue shard. At that point sandy clues had only just been fixed to count towards the task. It states that it is based off number of steps rather than clue scrolls completed but either way that's a lot of steps I had to complete so I don't see how it would be possible just off sandy clues unless RNG is generous to you.

I got all the 4 grinding shards on a lot of accounts (a lot!). Went for the most AFK activities I could find, so the agility bikes, strength beach training, arch and smelting bars.
Got all the shards after 4-5 hours for each activity like clockwork. I imagine that when bad luck mitigation kicks in.

I ended up giving up doing sandys and clues and went to do the 3 quests instead however as a skiller I did it the skillers way and still didn't get any combat xp

I didn't mind paying the proteans since I couldn't use them all anyway. Just keep in mind that if you bring several stacks of them it doesn't let you choose which stack it will take so only bring the one you're willing to trade in.
