Have to agree with Fresh Kitten, Where did you people learn math????

Pre-Plant Power, 1 seed = 15 herbs, Post Plant Power 1 seed = 3 herbs

15 is greater then 3 duh, How in Jupitor's leg is this better??? and the more seeds the less herbs per seed. even at highest level 4 still only 10 herbs for 4 seeds is less then we were getting for 1 seed. Less herbs per seed = less profit per seed.

This is a nerf duh! Its a clear game economy control move. And they force you to do it by making it a Mini-Quest requirement no less.

But now comes the point you are ALL missing

THEY MADE YOUR FARMING LEVEL MEANINGLESS!!!!

Pre Plant power a level 49 would get 4 to 5 herbs per seed if you kept it alive. Level 99, 8 to 12, level 120 12 to 17, this is all averaged of course.

Post Plant Power level 49 , 3 herbs per seed; level 99, 3 herbs per seed; level 120, 3 herbs per seed.

YOU JUST GOT SCREWED

And you all are like, "oh thank you so much Jagex, we love it Jagex, do it to us some more Jagex.."

All you work and time leveling just went into the toilet cause Newbs are passing you up and your being grateful!!!

I would be able to hear the screaming from the moon if they did this to Combat. Its like having a level 49 pk you with a bronze dagger and taking your Pernix

WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!

That's just untrue. The minimum amount of herbs was always 3 without any compost.

in fact if you look at OSRS, which has unchanged mechanics, you can read that composting a patch increases the minimum yield of herbs by 1, making it 4, which means it was 3 by default.

Remember you're looking at MINIMUM herb counts, meaning they can be higher depending on level and boosts.

I just did a run a few minutes ago where I had 4 seeds in a patch, which has a minimum yield of 8 herbs.
But because of my supercompost, juju potion, farming outfit, and legendary aura. I managed to get a whopping 30 herbs from the patch.

Thank you for proving my point, too bad you didn't see it yourself.

As you said "MINIMUM herb counts" where I said average herb counts.

There are worlds of difference there

So with all those boosts you only got 7.5 herbs per seed?? And you dont consider that a NERF?? Where did you learn math?? And with YOUR farming level you should be SCREAMING!!!

I also noted that you didn't address my point on losing your level advantage so you know I'm right.

Average herb count depends on min herb count because Average = (Min + Max)/2. The higher the Min, the higher the Average.

I think there is good and bad about this update.

While I tend to get the poop end of the RNG stick ( afraid I have no spoons in my bank) I did notice a fairly reduced average per 1 seed runs post update from months of normal runs.

I got about 1-2 less herbs post update on 1 stack. (limited testing, but when an average dips you notice)

My problem, is there is a reduced herb influx (not always bad) and the seed replacement plan seems to be set on 10 herbs to 1 seed. IE helwyr. Used to be 90-120 grimy lants, now its about 8-11 seeds. Fairly large dump of lants to about 1/10th of the "drop". This is obviously 1 example that stood out, but I digress. If you are reducing the influx of seeds (no mob drops reliable frequency of x4, x7, x10 seeds a drop) and have now 8 patches to utilize, unless your bank has a metic ton of seeds on standby, I dont see 4k+ seed stockpiles lasting very long.

While yes, you do get "more herbs" per time cycle with the minimum life update, and with a bit of RNG on your side, you could land slide to 140+ herbs a trip, thats also at the expense of 70-80 seeds...

IF the 10 stack seed option returned 50% value, I think I could find it a bit more tasteful of an update. As it stands, super/ultra compost gutted from this update. (3/6 = 15/x ) simple cross multiplication would be X = 30... at the moment it equals 18... so 12 less herbs under the effects of ultra compost seems wack. If X= 30 that would be 50% efficiency which is still trash, but a lot more reasonable. At best we are around 12% with compost.

I know coding can be tricky, and spaghetti math is a specialty at Jagex, but I think this is designed to be a seed dump, and herb nerf over all. Which, if they were going for farming to be profitable, and PVM harder to maintain unless you daily scape more, then they hit their mark.
