I'd either be a billionaire company director or married with 2 kids in a dead end job and own a Playstation 5 with a yearly subscription to PlayStation Plus Essential.
Oh, and i would have not met 100's of such brilliant and amazing friends from all across the world, i'd be stuck with my usual irl circle of mostly stupid so called mates lol.
Cos lets be honest here...
Playstation and xbox online mates are just petty argumentative dickheads haha.
Much love
Scouse - Mostly thankful with a dash of - Fuck you Jagex, i could have been married with 2 kids!!!

Today, I'd be playing WoW
Likely on my own server though or Classic. If RS server emulation was anywhere near WoW, I wouldn't be here on these forums and would be just doing my own thing with RS free of community drama.
If RS itself didn't exist at all, I'm sure I'd just be playing other games instead, but I wonder how my early childhood would have went. I got into RS after seeing someone else playing it at my local library, and eventually we became friends and had a nice friend circle with us meeting at the library daily for RS just doing quests and stuff. It was great socializing! I got regular exercise going to the library daily, and also learned some fun tricks with getting RS running on Linux back in the day (I remember Java, RS, and Ubuntu back on 6.10 or 7). I had dial-up and could play RS at home ok, but it was better at the library on broadband.
My friend circle and I eventually moved to WoW (vanilla, pre-TBC).
RPG are my favorite games. TBH, as long as Jagex continues all our episodic adventures the past 22 years in their game(s), I will gladly play my World Guardian there regardless they are new games or just the current Runescape, instead of starting afresh from new stories in other games and waste years to catch up.

Maybe I will finish the ELDEN RING bosses. They were too hard for my puny combat skill, but seeing B0aty is having a lot of fun there, I may be able to finally beat Malenia and Maliketh.
Yes, ELDEN RING can't be wrong, when not just B0aty but another biggest OSRS streamers Odablock is playing it too, it must be worth playing.

We will also have Runescape comic books and board games too. I am going to get entertained by ongoing new stories like Maro the Necromancer and more untold secrets of Godwars and perhaps.
The SFG Runescape board game is coming later this month. At least I can be summoning my Steel Titan to fight the Kalphite Queen soon. Not a video game, but at least it is still Runescape, right?
On the bigger picture, I have said it numerous times that Runescape or Jagex may not exist in the future, but the IP, lore, stories, signature heroes and villains won't go away because episodic content in the weekly update living game format for a decade and a half by a well known entertainment entity doesn't grow on trees at all.
Only that Ruescape and Jagex may not be Runescape and Jagex anymore, but when I began saying this, Facebook was not Meta, and most people wouldn't believe Twitter would become X now.
So what if Runescape would not be Runescape anymore, when it could become something better for the next generation of consumers? Hardly any consumer knew of A Song of Ice and Fire a decade ago anyway, and nobody cares if A Song of Ice and Fire still exists now when all they know is Game of Thrones and soon its prequel Aegon's Conquest.

truth be told i prob wouldnt be as much as a gamer as i am without runescape. it was my gateway drug to gaming that my friends introduced to me back in 04 when theywould talk nonstop about it on our bike rides to school
god dam i feel old saying that...
i did have a n64 and gamecube when i started runescape back then but i wouldnt of called myself a "gamer" then. mostly just played mario cart and super smash with my sister. hell, i still had dial up so wasnt really able to play other online games. i still remember sneaking over to my mates house that was a block or so away with my laptop to hook up to his wifi so i could download updates to some of my games, lol
if i didnt game i would prob read more then i do now. i still got a half finished book next to my bed thats ben there for 2 years or so. i really should finish reading it..... lol
Logic, who needs it...
