What would you be doing in your free time if Runescape or Old School Runescape did not exist? Personally, I would be playing more racing games if both of these games did not exist.
Given Jagex is able to keep Plantarion, a very old game as old as Runescape alive in 2023, after buying them in 2010, it makes me feel like trying it to replace the loss of OSRS when Jagex put it on Jagex Launcher.

I'd be playing any other game(s) that's/that're available...
And that's the main idea why Jagex is diversifying and buying other games, developing more of their own games, and partnering with other developers. As such, some of us may be playing SCUM, Space Punks, new Runescape games, the Earthlock series, Planeterion, Melvor Idle among other soon-to-be-announced Jagex games.
Actually with the emergence of Jagex Launcher/Jagex Launher, I may be even more inclined to play those games in other foreign languages.
Hmmm...If Jagex were to pull the plug next monday, i dont think a lot would change necessarily. I'd be playing same games i am now minus RuneScape. Gaming as a hobby currently is more accessible than it was when i first started playing. Theres also more variety now compared to...say 2009, at least it feels like that. Back then there were limitations that were out of my own control, like how much parents were willing to pay for my games or pc setup lol. Runescape was the perfect "budget game" good value for the subscription cost, didnt require powerful pc to run.
If RuneScape never existed idk what i would have played in my teens to be totally honest. Was never into shooter games like call of duty or battlefield. League of legends maybe??
Or god forbid, were more productive with my time
Who knows really.
