Full support. The only thing worse than making mistakes is continuing to make the same mistakes over and over again. Have Jagex learned nothing?

they removed them for a good reason. bringing it back would be weird.
They didn't remove it for a good reason; they removed it for bad reasons. Similar to the bad reasons they removed RS2 and we can see what a horrible decision that was. Look at how much more popular OSRS is since the re-release than the current game. RSC could be quite popular...people love games like that (see terraria, minecraft, etc.)

IDK. It seemed like a good idea years back when they gave us access.
But it took me like 4 days to even get out of Lumbridge. I'm not sure I ever actually made it to another town, just abandoned along the road somewhere.
It would feel even worse now. No surge?
No, no surge in classic and old school games whatsoever because the old game mechanics are too simplistic and the legacy technologies are so broken. You can only surge with RS3 now, or if you insist, wait for the new school and next gen Jagex non-MMORPG games, but it won't be any time soon.
This has clearly been proven wrong by OSRS and many other simplistic games that are very popular. Look at how popular the remastered BattleBit has been lately.

Proven wrong? How come simplistic games like RSC was removed? Nobody even knows what beetle bit is.
If you think OSRS is so good then why do Jagex need RSC? Why don't you just play OSRS?

Yes, proven wrong by that; they removed RS2 and now that it's back with >triple the population of the current game. Battlebit peaked at almost 100k players this weekend, it currently has over double the population of RS3 online (>40k.) We already went over why RSC was removed; a mistake by Jagex. Just like with the removal of RS2 as is clearly shown by it heavily outweighing the current game in population.
I do play OSRS, but would love to play classic too. There are multiple private servers that get accumulatively hundreds online so clearly there's a want and need for it.
Yes, OSRS is good and so is classic. They are different games; why wouldn't we need both? Clearly players want it...what are you on about?

It's extremely outdated ..I don't see any purpose to re introduce it besides nostalgia. Is it affordable to maintain the servers or that won't be an issue ?

Jagex could release it as a mobile game I suppose if enough people genuinely want it back. Might be popular there, but I doubt it.
Oh YES, just spend god knows how much developer time (and money) porting the entire game over to mobile, where you admit it probably won't be popular anyway.
Sheer genius.

RS2 isn't removed. RS2 has progressed in time and become the very RS3, or simply Runescape as it is officially called. RS3's population is higher than ever according to even current Jagex CEO in an interview with MCV/Develop Magazine. He is talking about real player engagement.
I guess most of us who are familiar with the game industry will just stop reading your post when you think Battlebit Remastered a simply old game. Remastered is a bland new game much like the modernized RS3 we are happily playing and Mod Pips happily championing now in 2023. It is also a very complex in the shooter genre. They even have tanks, helicopters among all kinds of combat features even Valorant, Apex Legends and such don't feature.

And god knows how much MTX Jagex has to put in that game to keep it afloat.
