Perhaps we can talk more about a kind of new pvp (pet vs pet) we might have actually seen from a RS3 annual survey a while ago. We can put armors on our pets and have them fight like Pokemon. We have some prototypes wth Felix the cat already. We also have battleship combat prototyped already too.
Even RS3 GameJam projects can be quite revealing sometimes...
Now that we have learned the RS3 artists aren't just aimlessly reworking random locations, they are talking about a multiple part Overworld Refresh project:
"Of course, these reworks are now a bit outdated compared to our current graphics, but they're a step in the right direction, and they add some much-needed colour and life to these old areas. As if that wasn't enough, she's also started the next part of the
Overworld refresh
, with an eye towards a Kandarin and Ardougne update!"
I believe many have heard about the Avatar Refresh project, but this is the first time I have heard of Overworld Refresh.
Good things indeed. It seems like this Overworld refresh will bring a significant part of Gielinor much closer to the modern 3D model.
Now that with Overworld Refresh going in earnest and possibly Jagex will have a new owner, it is not hard to see they step up in the remastering of RS3 after the sale.

I've got an excellent idea do u want it?
It's not new.
I suggested it around the time of EoC & RS3.
Remastering something meanings taking the old content to the new modern version. Whatever you suggested "around the time of EoC & RS3" would definitely be way out of date now in 2023.
You certainly couldn't have suggested the end of the 6th Age before The World Wakes.
No.
I suggested saving pre eoc and bringing it out in 10 years so we could pick up where we left off in 10 years with pre sof and pretend none of this ever happened.
Like when people come back from the dead in eastenders.
And
I think you'll find all my ideas are excellent.
So while u kens r fighting. I might just have barbieland back.

Jagex said at the time that the code for OSRS was all they could find in their "backups". That was an outright lie. There is no way in hell they didn't have a full backup of game state before EoC was rolled out. There is no way they weren't using a code versioning system either.
Talk about a breach of fiduciary duty, that IP, as OSRS has proved, is worth many many millions. There would be lawsuits flying everywhere, most of the IT staff fired, oh man the tales I could tell about corrupted backup tapes and having to fall back to a 3rd or 4th (and offsite) copy.
And I brought this subject up repeatedly in the forums.
