PvP anywhere in RS3 can be implemented relatively easily with the opt-in pvp mechanism in Wilderness.

This will make RS3 pvp more like the faction based pvp in gameslike WoW. I will be happy to see factions in RS3, maybe clan vs clan warfare too.

Very very very few people will "opt in".

Shapeshifting is destined to come to RS3 in the near future. Do you think we will get it soon after Necromancy, or we may actually get it in the new skill?

Just remaster the World Guardian into Mummmm----rrrraaa already.

Looks like we are starting to get this with Necromancy. We can transform into different kinds of undead as we level up.

Looks like the day when Necromancy arrives, it will also be the first stage of Runescape 3 Remastered.

"Runescape Remastered
Game Focus
- Takes place at the end of the 6th Age.
- Open more expansive world with the removal of the blocky grid-system/0.6 second tick system.
- Added height features and a more 3D world than RS3 (think of Skyrim).
- Allows for Offline skill training.
To be Determined
An ability to shapeshift into a variety of NPCs/content.
- Community oriented markets, cities, and other mechanics.
- World roaming bosses for PvM.
- Unique PvP interactions across the game world."

Great! We have seen the protypes of almost everything, now that even shapeshifting is seen with Necromancy. We only need to see Word roaming bsses for PvM and PvP interatcions across the game world.

As the fourth combat style, Necromancy is already game changing. When we see Runescape Remasered in full, it is going to surprise a lot of gamers.

With AFK timer extension coming in August, I can see offline skill training a little bit later in the future.

As for "roaming" bosses, we already have Demon Flash Mobs. Roaming bosses shouldn't be too hard if we make them "roam" with the Mega Duck mechanics. The technologies should be in RS3 already.

Technologies for PvP interactions across the game world are pretty much in RS3 too. We have that opt-in pvp framework in Wilderness, we just need to expand it to everywhere in the game. We also have opt-in dueling between players anywhere too. We also have stories driven pvp World Events. All the foundations are already here in RS3. Now we just have to pick a pvp theme like Alliance vs Horde or Forsaken vs Scourge in WOW. For RS3, we already have a god fraction system. We can build on that.

The technologies are all here. The foundations are built. Prototypes are either shown or leaked, and should be seen in the live game soon with 0.3s tick and such. Looks like all systems go!

technologies are here, but the desire is not.

No one cares about pvp everywhere in rs3, whether its staker based or "account progression" based, its jsut not something people want or care about

go to the wild, clan wars, bounty hunter, etc, and you will see maybe 1 pvper after about 20 world hops (not including 1 for 1 reward grinding or wealth transferring)

Who said the desire is not here? I don't have much pvp desire now but I can't speak for everybody else. We actually heard Necromancy beta testers asking for pvp content. We also see RSOF players asking for pvp content in FGU.

We are talking about pvp EVERYWHERE, not just wildy. We are talking about pvp, not just staking.

Last but not least, if you actually play RS3, you should not be talking about the harmful BH which broke game integrity and therefore removed from RS3.

The overwhelming majority of the player base, or Jagex wouldn't have nuked PvP from orbit. And I saw very very few complaints about it, but a whole lot of "thank god".

This may come as a surprise to you but here again the vast majority of players do not care what you, I, or some hand picked beta testers think.

And very very few will opt in to that. Most will quit if it's forced on them. Skillers have dramatically outnumbered PvPers since at least 2008. And most of the PvM folk are not going to risk their expensive gear.

There was nothing "harmful" about BH. I found it interesting at times, but rarely played it. Same as most others. Which is why it wasn't worth the maintenance hassle to keep separate worlds for it.

Who are the "overwhelming majority"? Please show us your source. PvP nuke from orbit? How come it is still possible to pvp in WIldy, Clan Wars, Warbands, Sinkholes etc? How come we still see players killing others from the Wildy Death Notice Board? I never heard RS3 given pvp players numbers. The only occasion I heard about such number was from former OSRS Mod MatK. He said only about 5% of OSRS players engaged in pvp. I don't know if we consider this "very few" though, but that's his reason for "ignoring" pvp in OSRS. Shrug!

Not only are the old pvp minigames like Castle Wars and Soul Wars not nuked. RS3 actually added many new ones like Stealing Creations, Cabbage Facepunch, Heist, Flash Powder Factory etc OSRS players have frequently asked to add similar content to their game.

What surprise? The fact is we have heard players asking for pvp content, from videos and these RSOF too.

How do you know very few will opt in open world pvp everywhere? It is a new agenda with Runescape Remastered. I doubt if you can even find a source unless you are from the future. :D

We had 3 World Events with incredible number showing up and joining a fraction against each other. Evidently RS3 players liked such kind of pvp content, because they are safedeath and rewarding.

We forced open world pvp on players? Not RS3. RS3 didn't even force pvp on players in the Wildyness. Didn't I say OPT-IN?

RS3 and OSRS both removed BH citing bots and RWT. If you don't agree, your complaint should be on Jagex. Even after OSRS brought back BH from the trash bin, they are still banning a lot of players the past week for boosting, botting, account services etc. Nothing harmful? Shrug! Why did they ban so many players, causing complaints about their fairness and standards on allowing some but banning the others.
