Great thread! Now I know how to merc* 2 limit items.
Is there any FC that is commonly known that shares prices of these kinds of items?
There are several of them that post regularly in the Item Discussion forum. R Quark, Nex and SS, etc.

EllenPage - I suppose the new offer "overrides" the old one but since the cash goes to you either way, it shouldn't have any impact on whether your offer actually fills. In other words, if the new offer is selling, the old one would have.
I know it's been a while since this was posted but anyway.
We know that the GE prioritizes older offers over newer offers if they prices are the exact same. Though I noticed a long time ago that when I had multiple offers for the same item in the GE, for the same exact price, they would slowly fill a little bit one by one. The amounts they got updated with each time were rather odd numbers as well.
This did lead me to think that, even though the GE prioritizes older offers over newer offers, that once someone sold an amount of items that I bought with my oldest GE offer, it then moves on to the second oldest GE buy offer, so when another player sells a bunch of that item, my second GE offer would buy these items rather than the first and oldest GE offer.
So pretty much, if I was buying 600 Rune 2h swords for 38k each, with 6 different GE offers all buying 100 swords each, they would update one by one.
Player 1 sells 17 Rune 2h swords for 38k**** slot 1 updates to 17/100 bought
Player 2 sells 86 Rune 2h swords for 38k**** slot 2 updates to 86/100 bought with GE slot 1 still remaining at 17/100
I don't know if this is actually true, and I also don't know if this only works within your own GE offers, or if this actually happens with multiple people having the same offers in the GE, (so that someone would beat my GE offer with their GE offer even though it was placed later in the GE)
But if it were to be true, then using multiple GE slots to buy (or sell) 1 specific item in bulk would up your chances of buying/selling more of that item in a shorter amount of time.
This could potentially also explain the situation that EllenPage was in.
Helpful info in here! A question, do you
have
to keep logging in every week in order to have a chance of getting an above max cash item? And do offers that become inactive no longer go active by iteself? So are they like 'paused' or just canceled?
Feel free to take a look at my suggestions:

That's exactly what happens.
Say I have 3 slots buying yew logs at same price.
Player 1 instasells 17 yew logs, they fill slot 1.
Player 2 instasells 54 yew logs, they fill slot 2.
Player 2 instasells 100 yew logs, they fill slot 3.
Player 3 instasells 12 yew logs, they fill slot 1.
etc.
Your argument is that using multiple slots could help buy/sell stuff faster - sure, assuming you're in competition at the exact same price with somebody else.

Yeah that is pretty much what I meant, and it's kinda the only benifit to this. But it could potentially help sometimes for someone.
Just figured I'd throw it in here since I didn't see it mentioned in the OP.
Any idea why I can't buy a charged bow? I bought and sold 9 of them 6 days ago and still can't buy one. I thought the limit expired after 4 hours. Thoughts?

Does the Grand Exchange have a pattern of when it updates prices?
I'm not talking about items like half wine jug. I mean more like items from the top 100 traded list.
It never seems to be the same time during the day. It has to have some sort of pattern unless it waits for certain items to hit a certain volume.
