Interesting thread! Good job, this guide is really informative and I enjoyed reading it
.
I didn't knew that offers could become inactive and need reinstatement in order to buy/sell items on the market again. I have a question about this: you mention that offers become inactive if you didn't log-in for more than 7 days. Does this happen even if you manage to buy/sell items throughout the week? Would the offer become active again once you log in after this period? Or would it be necessary to cancel the offer first and then place a new offer?

Yes, people have tested this by placing very large offers for cheap items like needles. The offer will continue to fill for 7 days after your last login, and then will stop.
In order to reactivate the offer, you would need to cancel and re-place it.
Some really good information here. Thank you very much!
Last week I put an offer in to sell a certain quantity of an item. It began to consistently sell portions of my offer but then stopped after a few hours. So I decided to make another sell offer in a different box. The second offer was the same item at the same exact price (note that I have not cancelled the first offer). This second offer began to sell periodically just as the first one did.
What I found strange was the first sell offer being the same as the second sell offer stopped selling while my second offer was selling. This all took place on the companion app.
EllenPage - I suppose the new offer "overrides" the old one but since the cash goes to you either way, it shouldn't have any impact on whether your offer actually fills. In other words, if the new offer is selling, the old one would have.
