Interesting. Last time this happened it didn't take but a few hours before it was fixed. Nice to know they took care of it quick again.

Looks like the highest tier of the achievement diary necklace we can get is the first level. Fairyring transport is required in order to get the 2nd level. Blackston is a Naabe.

Hey:

I'm trying to defeat the lobster in Ghost's Ahoy.

I'm stuck. I wish I would have used my death darts on this thing. I just attempted to kill it using recoils along with 9 other ppl alternating using veng on me, and we couldn't even get it halfway.

Any tips/suggestions would be appreciated!



Edit: what if I find someone else who is doing the quest and have them attack it?

I sadly cannot help with any tips or advice. That quest needs a bit of testing as well.

I guess you could try and get someone to attack it first. I'm not sure that it'll work but it'll be worth a shot. Sorry about that :l

One way that may be possible is to target and have someone else kill it, that is if they can even attack while you have it targeted. I can confirm this won't give xp and you'll get the drop from my experience with killing abby demons, however I'm not sure how this works with slayer/quest creatures. It is entirely possible that this may not count as a kill that triggers this part of the quest, much like how we can no longer do slayer by purely recoiling as the kills won't count.

If you want to continue in trying to recoil consider purchasing Ancestral Spirits Aura. Costs 50k Loyalty points, and hits rather nice if you have a decent prayer level or at least I believe prayer influences how it hits. Would certainly help kill it faster.

I'll see what I can test in the next few days when I have a couple days off. Blackston is a Naabe.

The method I mentioned above should act as a trigger assuming another person can help you to kill it. I was on a gargoyles task on my main and another guy showed up so I decided to test by casting a curse and not doing any damage. The other guy killed it and seeing as I had the creature targeted I got the *layer xp and it counted towards my task. So in theory this should apply to quest creatures. Blackston is a Naabe.

Yea, I can't think of too many quest creatures that it would actually apply to to be honest. Probably just some obscure quests that it would work with. Hope this guy tries it out and it works. Blackston is a Naabe.
