Stolen Hearts
- K
After an update, none of the monsters you fight give combat XP. If you want to play it safely, recoil should work on all of them anyway.

Vampyre Slayer
- K
Killing Count Draynor should not give combat XP. If you want to play it safe, recoil should do fine, especially if wearing a Blood Necklace. Make sure to bring Garlic.

What's Mine is Yours
- R
After an update, you no longer need to tag the Living Rock Brawlers to get the drop. Lower your Defence and don't wear armour, because they have a very hard time hitting you.

Three's Company
(saga) - K
Play as Ariane during combats and kill everything normally - you will not gain combat XP. Warning: while combat spells are safe to use, using other magic spells can give you Magic XP.

Witch's Potion
(miniquest) - R/PB/TFK
You have to kill a normal Rat. Tag and recoil, Poison bombs, TFK all work just fine.

Biohazard
- R or R+REV+PVK
For normie accounts, recoil works fine, you don't even have to tag the Mourner. Ironmemes, on the other hand, need to use the Revenge and/or Provoke ability to get the key drop.

Call of the Ancestors
- K
When commanding the Goebies to fight the chargers, airut and Tuz, you will not gain combat XP.

Defender of Varrock
- R
You have to defeat 6 Armoured Zombies. Recoil works just fine, but you have to tag them in order to get the "mist" drop needed to progress the quest.

Desperate Measures
- K,R
The Dinosaur invasion part is safe, even if you attack yourself.

The Black Stone Dragon has to be defeated using poison and recoil. It has a LOT of life points, but its damage is also quite low, as long as you avoid its special attack.

Diamond in the Rough
- K
Same as Stolen Hearts.

Dimension of Disaster: Defender of Varrock
- R/TFK
Like in the normal version, you need to collect red mist. Recoil (with tag!) or TFK should work just fine.

Dimension of Disaster: Shield of Arrav
- K
If you pick the Phoenix gang, no combat is needed whatsoever. If joining Black Arm, you will have to defeat Johnny the Beard. He does not give combat XP (as he doesn't actually die), though if you want to play it safe recoil should work fine as well.

Eyes of Glouphrie, The
- R+REV/PVK/BOL
You have to defeat 6 Evil Creatures. You can recoil them, but they are quite buggy with respect to getting the kills to count. Using Bolas and/or the Revenge and Provoke abilities usually fixes this problem. You may want to lower your Defence somewhat and don't wear armour, because they barely hit you otherwise.

Fairy Tale III - Battle at Ork's Rift
- R+PB
For killing the three Ork Generals, the best strategy is to poison them using Poison Bombs and then returning to the safe area.

For the Godfather: at first, your only way of attacking will be to heal your own Ivory Orks. Once his shields are down, recoil and poison bombs should work as well, though your orks will continue to damage.

Fight Arena
- R
Recoil everything. Poison bombs should work and will speed up things. You don't have to kill General Khazard.

Grand Tree, The
- R
Recoil the Black Demon. Poison bombs will speed up the fight.

Heart of Stone
- R,PB
The BikKra attendants can be recoiled to get the unstable attendants to spawn.

The FulKra attendants just need to be tanked.

The Prehistoric abyssal is, since a recent update, no longer poison and recoil immune. You must do the first part of the fight normally (destroying the three anchors). Once his armour is destroyed and the "normal" fight begins, recoil and poison bombs should do the trick.

Icthlarin's Little Helper
- R
This quest used to be bugged, but was fixed "recently". Your first opponent will be a manifestation of one of the Desert Pantheon gods: Apmeken, Het, Crondis or Scabaras. Recoil works fine, but they have a lot of life points and may despawn if not killed fast enough. Stack as many methods of recoil as you can and use poison bombs to deal more damage if necessary.

The second opponent is a Possessed Priest. Same methods as before, but he has much less life points.

Monkey Madness
- R
You have to defeat a Jungle demon. The 10th squad gnomes will periodically damage it, but cannot kill it alone. Recoil should do fine. You won't get combat XP from the gnomes' damage.

Mourning's End Part I
- R+REV/PVK
You have to kill a Mourner in the Arandar pass. This is pretty buggy, as it's difficult to get them to drop what you need. Try using the Revenge and/or Provoke abilities if you don't get the drop at first.

Path of Glouphrie, The
- R
Your first opponent is an Evil Creature, see Eyes of Glouphrie.

Your final opponents are 3 Warped terrorbirds. Your crystal chime should automatically activate, making them vulnerable to recoil (and poison) damage. Warning: do NOT use a Deathtouched Bracelet here. When they are temporarily invulnerable, they are recoil immune, and your Deathtouched Bracelet can actually damage them at this point. This will give you full combat XP.

Pieces of Hate
- K,R
Zogoth is similar to Agoroth. You can attack its tentacles normally, they will go away if they are nearly dead. You can kill Zogoth normally. The Crassians he summons, whatever, will give combat XP if killed normally, so just ignore them. Warning: use a slow weapon and auto-attacks only when attacking the tentacles. If you do damage over time or attack too quickly, you may kill a tentacle before it has a chance to disappear. Also, be careful not to use AOE abilities that may damage or kill the Crassians.

During the invasion of Mos Le'Harmless, everything can be killed normally. You will not gain Combat XP.

Rabid Jack can be defeated normally. However, if you become too "insane" during the fight, he will spawn clones of him. These DO give combat XP when killed, so make sure to drink enough 'rum' to prevent this from happening.

Rag and Bone Man
- TFK
TFK should work for all the drops. If you really want to solo, recoil and poison bombs should do fine.

Recipe for Disaster: Freeing the Mountain Dwarf

You can avoid combat entirely, and you don't need ice gloves either. Simply pick up the Dwarven Rock Cake with normal gloves and leave it in your bank. After a few hours it will cool down automatically.

Recipe for Disaster: Freeing Pirate Pete
- R
Recoil (and/or poison bomb) the Mudskippers and Giant Crabs.

Recipe for Disaster: Freeing King Awowogei
- R
Recoil the Big Snakes.

Recruitment Drive

Whenever you encounter Sir Leye, do not attack him. Use Home Teleport to get out (NOT the portal), then talk to Sir Tiffy again. Repeat until you have solved 5 unique rooms, at which point you will complete the quest. You do not have to changer your gender, nor have to die to Sir Leye.

Temple of Ikov
- R
To defeat the Fire Warrior of Lesarkus, have Ice Arrows equipped but wield a crossbow so you can't fire them accidentally. Then recoil him normally.

I recommend picking Lucien's side and stealing the Staff of Armadyl - get someone else to kill all the Guardians in the little enclosure with the staff, and you'll be able to take it, no combat involved. If you side with the guardians instead, you will have to kill Lucien. He has only 1 life point so you get minimal XP (maybe none!), but it seems you have to kill him normally.

TokTz-Ket-Dill
- BR
Set your familiar to passive and use the Blood Reaver passive for all monsters involved.

Void Stares Back, The
R+PB
During the Pest ambush, throw a Poison Bomb under the spinner, then let it go out of combat and die. If you keep fighting it, it will heal too much. Once it's dead, recoil and poison will take care of the other pests.

For the Pest Queen, there is a special strategy. Do NOT attack the Pest Queen. Instead, wait until the Elite Defilers spawn, tag them, then lure them to the upstairs area and get them stuck behind a crate. Do NOT kill them, but make sure they're stuck. Then, stand in the downstairs area and patiently wait until the knights kill the Pest Queen. Note that if you wait in the upstairs area, both the Pest Queen and the Pest Drones she spawns will gain a much faster healing rate, which may be too much for the knights.

Watchtower
- R+BOL/REV/PVK
You will have to defeat Gorad, an ogre, to get his tooth. Talk to him first and tell him you've come to knock out his teeth. Then recoil him, but use Bolas, Revenge and/or Provoke, otherwise you might not get his tooth.

World Wakes, The
- R+PB,K/AS
The three automata are poison immune, but can be recoiled. However, you need to tag them to get kill credit. Despite their immunity to poison, poison bombs can be used for this. If you see a little green "splash" at the feet of an enemy, then it has been properly tagged.

The GWD Bosses can be killed normally for no combat XP. If you are doing this as a skiller, consider investing in Armour Spikes to do enough damage. Zemouregal's portals can also be killed normally for no combat XP.

While defending Juna, simply focus on repairing barricades and do not engage the enemies at all.

Battle of the Monolith
(miniquest)
You do not gain combat XP from allied NPC's fighting. You will gain combat XP, however, if you fight yourself. Simply place the NPC's in good positions and you should defeat the enemies without having to personally intervene.

Boric's Task II
(miniquest) - R
Same as What's Mine is Yours

Nadir
(saga) - K
You will not gain combat XP from playing as Moia.

Thok It To 'Em
(saga) - K
You will not gain combat XP from playing as Thok.

Thok Your Block Off
(saga) - K
You will not gain combat XP from playing as Thok.

Vengeance
(saga) - K
You will not gain combat XP from playing as the Forgotten Warrior.

Wandering Ga'al
- R+PB
You must collect 700+ obsidian shards from the Fight Cauldron. Recoil and poison bombs will allow you to progress in the minigame.

Woops, forgot one.

Hero's Welcome
- R,K,DTD
The dragon must be recoiled. Tarshak can be killed normally, as he doesn't actually die. The Abomination is immune to both recoil and poison. It will be damaged by the environment, but that will stop at ~1000 life points. Therefore, a DTD is required, as it will give combat XP otherwise.

TEST REQUESTS:
- Imp Catcher: can the Choleric Imp be killed normally? Yes! Thanks to Andy Grammer & Crodious for testing!
- Brink of Extinction: can TokHaar-Hok be defeated without a DTD? And if so, does it give combat XP?
- Dishonour Among Thieves: can the Foreshadow be defeated using a Blood Reaver?
- Hero's Welcome: can the Abomination be defeated using a Blood Reaver?*
- Hunt for Surok: can Bork be defeated using a Blood Reaver?*

* The answer seems to be yes. In the post-quest repeat of the Abomination fight, reaver + bolas + revenge worked in getting the kill and drop with no combat XP. For Bork, I only tried if the Reaver could damage him, which was indeed the case, but I didn't finish the fight.

City of Senntisten
- PB/R, BR
The 4 Gargoyle Sentinels can be defeating using poison and recoil. The Blood Warden, however, is immune to both. Your only options are using a DTD or the Blood Reaver's passive. He has 50,000 LP but will heal himself twice, so using the reaver will take a very long time and require a lot of stackable food.

Once Upon a Time in Gielinor
- Just let yourself die
In the Fortunes subquest, you have to fight Relomia. You can't actually win the fight, so it doesn't really matter what you do. The fight automatically ends when you're nearly dead, so it's safe for HCIM.

Extinction
- R,PB,BR
Tzekhaar front: The first fight is with 12 TzekHaar. Unlike the non-quest versions they are fairly weak, and all of them can be killed with recoil, poison and/or blood reaver. Do note that leaving the area means you will have to kill all twelve again.

Croesus front: No combat.

Glacor front: You only have to kill the 4 glacors, ignore the glacytes. The glacors are immune to poison (and maybe from recoil?) and barely do damage, so you want to rely on a blood reaver instead. Note that the unstable glacytes can hit up to 4,500 LP, so stay away from them. Ideally, you want to get surrounded by sapping and enduring glacytes, so that they form a "barrier" to protect you from the unstable glacytes.

Nodon front: The first part, where you commandeer a siege engine, doesn't give combat xp. Just spam-click the cannons. Eventually you'll have to kill some remaining siege engines yourself - poison, recoil and blood reaver all work.

Final fight, phase 1: You have to defeat a Dark Lord and a Light Lord, which are both poison and recoil immune. The shadows they spawn can be poisoned and recoiled, though. There are some additional mechanics, but I ignored those and used blood reaver on both lords.
