So fate of the gods nihils

i didn't have to equip a melee weapon to remove the barrier on them.
I was using recoil, blood necklace, deathtouched bracelet, and poison bombs.

the barrier just dissipated after 10-20 seconds...

edit:
the barrier was destroyed from death touched bracelet. thank gawd i didn't gain xp as the barrier blocks "all" damage. eek could of ruined my account there. Mihawk suggested throwing bolas to get rid of the barrier and that works just fine and safe.
Fear the almighty Woo Lord ...

Time to spill the beans on TokTz-Ket-Dill. Big props to Crodious for coming up with basically all of this!

Fire Monsters : these are immune to everything except magic (including recoil damage and poison), nor can you get close enough to throw a Deathtouched Dart. Instead, we will be using the Blood Reaver familiar's passive.

First, you'll want to target the monster without aggroing it or having your familiar attack it. Equip a bow without (correct) ammo. Use either Freedom or Anticipate and quickly click attack on the monster once. IF YOU DO NOT USE AN ABILITY FIRST, YOUR FAMILIAR WILL ATTACK.

Once you have the monster targeted, you can start using the Reaver's passive to damage it. You must heal actual damage, so damage yourself first (overhealing does not proc the passive). This will only work a few seconds until you go out of combat. At that point, repeat the previous steps.

Your rotation should be: Damage yourself -> Target monster -> Heal yourself.

Lava Monsters: similar to fire monsters, but they are only vulnerable to range. This should mean that the Reaver cannot damage them, but this is untested! Same strategy as for lava monsters.

TokTz-Ket-Dill: you must first get rid of his armour. Wield a melee weapon (or a pickaxe) and succesfully hit it a few times to break the armour. Once the armour is broken, throw a Deathtouched dart (it should be possible to recoil it after breaking the armour, but again, this is untested).

Tips
- To easily lower your life points, take armour that boosts life points. Taking it off and putting it back on will put you below your max life points. Alternatives are a dwarven rock cake or zamorak brews.
- Wear the Expensive Spices necklace and use either stackable food or an inventory of Green Blubber Jellyfish. Saradomin brews and Guthix Rest do not work.
- Practise the targetting on an alt. All you need is lvl 3 defence for anticipation (can be boosted!), a bow and any combat familiar.

Despite a big tragedy on my account a while back (12 constitution, sob), I've continued in pretty much the same way. Done quite a few quests since and I'm planning to do whichever quest I can without gaining constitution and defence xp. I did manage to complete Plague's End at 70 combat (10 constitution, 1 defence), which has been my big goal since I started this account, however I'm 71 combat now.

Some "recent" changes that make current information about some quests here irrelevant:

Branches of Darkmeyer: currently stuck on Harold. He can no longer be recoiled nor poisoned. Killing him this way does make him drop loot, but it won't count for the quest and exiting, then re-entering the building respawns him. I'll need more DTDs.

Temple at Senntisten, stuck again, at the ice demon. Killing it with poison and recoil prevents it from dropping loot. DTDs are also required here. Barrows was surprisingly easy. No special tactics are needed, but Guthan is an absolute pain and pretty much requires a barrows amulet because of his heal. They aren't immune to poison bombs, but they deal very little damage.

Smoking Kills doesn't work anymore either. Both mummy warriors unfortunately need to be killed with a DTD or they won't count for the quest.

The 500 hp boost from archaeology is amazing.

Another interesting find for people with 1 defence as well as 10 constitution: I just discovered you can in fact kill the tormented wraith. The black knight captain outfit counts as black armour. You can safely recoil and poison the wraith as long as you're wearing a black crossbow without ammo.

It didn't count for the wilderness task so I'll have to return with a DTD but at least the wilderness hard tasks are actually not impossible for us after all.

Elvirah: did you hit Harold and the Ice Demon them with bolas and/or poison bombs? Doing so may trigger the kill actually progressing the quest.

As for smoking kills: the mummies require either a DTD or the Revenge Ability which is 15 defence, I'm afraid.

For the tormented wraith wilderness task, I believe I FTK'd - this seems to be necessary for a lot of the achievement diary kills.

Yhdeksan: I used poison bombs on both Harold and the Ice Demon. Ice Demon doesn't drop anything, while Harold drops loot, yet doesn't count for the quest. I don't mind returning later with a DTD but of course, I'm trying any other method first as those come in limited supply. My next DTD is reserved for the Ice Demon because deflect prayers will be a tremendous boon. Probably the 2 after go to Smoking Kills. So if there is a way to dispatch of Harold I haven't yet thought of, I'm all ears.

I'll have to admit, I've never FTKed anything. Just so I don't screw this up, care to elaborate, preferably step by step, on what you did exactly? It is my last hard task so it'd be nice to get that out of the way.

*edit* I just remember, the Ice Demon was immune to poison. I'll give that guy one more try with a bolas tag. Who knows, it may just work.

*edit 2* Bolas don't work either. The Frostenhorn still doesn't drop. Looks like I'll be returning on the 25th with a DTD.

I suppose that confirms defensive abilities are necessary for the Ice Demon and Harold. One remark though: when using bolas, make sure to actually get a "hit", i.e. you see some animation and the monster gets bound. I'm not sure if a "miss" works.

FTK'ing is basically the opposite of TFK'ing: a friend tags a monster and you kill it. As the person killing the monster, only attack if you see a "*" next to the monster's name, which indicates it's been tagged by someone else. If this does not appear, either it wasn't tagged or it's a boss monster - in both cases you will get xp for the kill. Also, the account tagging should NOT log out (or even leave the area, probably) - doing so may result in xp for the person who kills the monster.

I've been testing a bit and from the looks of it I won't be able to TFK the tormented wraith due to its unique aggro mechanics. It adheres to the typical rules with combat levels: it is non aggressive to anyone of 85 or higher combat. However, anyone below that level gets targeted immediately, even when it's already being fought by someone else. Even during combat, the moment it finds someone under 85 combat, it will immediately ignore the person fighting it to target the lower level player instead. This means two things:

1: Anyone under level 85 can endlessly steal kills from anyone over level 85 with this specific aggro mechanic. Attacking it once gives you the tag.
2: FTKing is out of the question.

Oh well, I tried.
