Hmm, sorry this took so long. We had a massive thunderstor and internet was knocked out for 2 and a half days...Anyway, I must say that your guide is better than mine, and certainly had more information than mine, it will be very helpful to those, like all of us, who want to avoid being scammed.

If the player does not double the money then IT IS considered a SCAM and IS a 'reportable offence'. Are you a 'doubler' and believe your not scamming?

All about the Quick Swap in a Trade Scam"
Or "Bait and Switch Scam"

The newest version of this scam is to have the scammer put up a item that they are selling for less then market price, and quickly decline the trade. They generally repeat this one more time, then on the third trade they swap a less valueable item in place of the oringinal item hoping the victum does not notice the bait and switch. This has popped back up since free trade has been brought back.

===Scenario===
Scammer: "Selling Sara Sword (SS) 2.1m!"
Victim: *Tries to trade*
Scammer: *Puts up SS (NOTED) but declines the trade* "Oh sorry lag"
Victim: *Tries to trade again*
Scammer: *Puts up SS (NOTED) but declines the trade* "Opps I hit the wrong button"
Victim: *Tries to trade again*
Scammer: *Puts up White 2h (NOTED)* and tries to quickly accept trade*
Victim: *Accepts trade and ends up with a White 2h and not the SS.

Notice the scammer will NOTE the bait and switch to try to hide the switch.

Note: Often the scammer will add other low value items to 'spam' the trade window. Also they have to decline the trade for the bait and switch now because of the RED "!" that will appear if they try to do it in one trade.

Is the scam reportable? YES

To Bionicler898 (the oringinal author): You may use any or all of this post if you wish to up date this in your first few posts.

I just hope that the more players are aware of these scams and call the scammers out that the scamming will be reduced to a minimum.
