The most comprehensive guide in the forums yet, and absolutely spot on. I'd like to congratulate you for dedicating so much of your time to help the community. Simply Fantastic!
Some pointers:
- Post 4 (Last sentence): "I at least make sure the user's account is taken down and his IP tracked for the future."
How would a person track someone's IP address? And is it safe to do so?
- Bottom line: If something seems too good to be true, then in most circumstances, it is.

Witnessed an interesting scam today that tries to make you believe you're scamming the scammer and getting his money.
It started with the scammer trading me and showing 1.3bill, then claiming he's quitting RS and making a vid before he leaves. Fast forward to Clan Wars where another guy pm'ed me claiming he can help against the scam. He gave me telegrab runes and told to use them to safely grab the stuff the scammer drops. I didn't go any further with the scam but I bet he would have dropped his stuff just far enough for telegrab to make me step forward, then equipped his stuff and killed me (or called his friend).
I also heard later that you can only get about 10k in coins dropped there anyway O_o

The " Help me lure this guy for all his stuff" scam
Recently I bought an SS, and went to clan wars to test it out. Over the course of three days time ,I've been asked to "Lure" someone in the red clanwars portal. The scam works like this: (Through Pm)
Scammer: Hey, wanna help me lure this guy? he has full bandos.
Player: Sure, I want free Bandos!
Scammer: Okay, come in red portal and help me lure him to multi way, so we can pwn him.
Player: Sure.
Well, what happens is, the player moves into the red portal
and instead of luring one hapless victim, both freeze/rush you, and take all your items. This usually happens to players with more expensive items I.E. Godswords, SS, Bandos. But can happen to anyone.
How to avoid this scam:
Just say no to the scammer. He will usually beg and plead to help him.
Never ever help these luring players, they will always kill you and take your things.
