i challenge you to fight someone your level with 43+ prayer. Lets see how long you last in a battle like that. The fact is prayer majorly influences combat. Through prayer you can hit harder, more accurately and increase your defence. You also may save an extra item upon death, increase magic and ranged attacks. With such a major advantage over you it seems someone would be hard pressed to loose.

very nice guide :-) i have 19m i want to put into range, but it's hard to figure how many chins i can buy and still have enough money to get the ppots to use them, when there aren't any numbers for prayer. i know consumption varies with level, equipment, and prayers used, but could you maybe estimate prayer points per chin using your recommended gear and prayers? that'd be awesome.
also, wouldn't it be a relatively small loss in ranged attack for a relatively large increase in prayer bonus to use a god cloak and/or lumbridge ring?

In response a ratio of 22 prayer potions to 1500-2000 red chins is an anverage ratio per hour trip usage. This is with a zamorak prayer book+ other recommended armour aswell as 70 prayer.
