Yes, it was a grand adventure (except the part where I was running through the Dubai airport duty free with my shoes in my hands as we had 7 minutes to get to the gate).
(But the nearly missed connection was on the return flight, so who cares?)

Looooooong time since ive been here, or anyone else has been here for that matter by the looks of it!
I wonder who will actually ever see this from old Vanyar if anyone at all.

true that - many are long gone, but a few have popped in as you can see

I have played steadily since and each time I run down the coal cart tracks to check for a fallen star at the coal trucks, I remember the maple tree burnings Vanyar used to do there (and I think "gee those trees look different now" each time).

Forums move a lot more slowly now, so keeping the thread alive is not the work it used to be, and there is still a spark in me that wants to ignite the old time clan spirit here, so I have not given this away yet.

Do I really see Greiffy here??! OG Vanyar in the flesh. It's so great to see that people remember. May Guthix bless and keep you all, whether ingame or simply in real life.

It was a warm Fall evening in the year of Guthix 2015. There was a Carnival atmosphere and dancers and drums gyrated in the streets, as Admac0 departed on his final journey to take his place with the Vanyarim amongst the stars. I'm sure he is smiling as he looks down on us all now.

If he were here, he would tell you how much his time in Geilinor and how much every member of Vanyar meant to him. He would bow to you all, and give a joyous laugh at how far everyone has come...and gone.

Often he chuckled as he thought of the original four that made Vanyar - The clan that was supposed to be everything to all players. Aside from himself, there was Laurel and Lampje and DarkJoey. There was Matt the ranger, and Andy who taught us all the Canadian National Anthem, lol. Andy was always biting off more than he could chew, and Admac always went when called to rescue him.

There were our Castle Wars mavens - Trish and Maxine, and Nateoxymoron who was the first to get 99 fishing. I don't have space to name everyone, but you mattered, whether I name you or not. Everyone mattered to Adam.

Admac met Kristy while seeking 99 smithing. They worked together a long time before Kristy agreed to become a member. Who knew you would become our Historian too? It's fitting. Thank you for all you have done here Kristy.

Admac had one message when he left, and I am leaving it here for anyone who looks to see -

Any questions don't matter. To those who experienced it, Vanyar will shine warmly in your hearts. Just remember...
